Anyone else suffering with condensation in their car's headlights. I mentioned it to the dealer before the warranty ran out , but he was like no, it’s just because of the winter weather,however it still persists and my car goes in for MOT and on the “health check “ the technician notes condensation in N/S headlight , replacement £1400 . I’ve never seen any other Superb with this problem anyone got any ideas as to a cheaper fix than £1400?

Does anyone else get constant emails from an email address [email protected]. It keeps telling me my pre set area has been exceeded , then my street name , then it informs me it has been disturbed , giving a date and time. Anybody know what this is about? I get about 3 or 4 emails a day.

I suppose that both are left hand drive countries and it’s less hassle than converting cars to right hand drive.

I did hear that car manufacturers were cannibalising washing machines for their computer chips, whether that changes anything we shall see. I can’t say I was over impressed by the dealership communications throughout the wait.

I got mine in April after waiting from July , I did see recently on the Skoda.co.uk website that there were one or two cancelled orders for sale, might be worth a loom.

Shame I suppose, any idea what you’re going to get instead? I did read that Kia /Hyundai are only 6 weeks lead time.

Beginning to wonder if I should put my order in for the next one I want as it’s 4 years away judging by the way things are it might just arrive by then.

Ordered mine in July 2021 finally collected it Monday. Worth the wait I feel, even if it was a complete pain. I was told it’s now a 30 week leadtime.

What’s the point of them then? I suppose it’s something to do with the Ukrainian issue because VW group is over committed/over reliant in the region.

Collect my car Monday at long last , could have had it this week but the salesman was on holiday and asked me if I would delay delivery so he could hand it over rather than one of his colleagues , I don’t suppose another week in top of the 8 months I’ve waited makes much odds.

Wonder if it’s on Google earth , the car , not the docks probably the nearest I’ll ever get to it at this rate.

Just been on to the dealer again , 3 weeks ago the car was built and on a train to the docks, apparently it’s still there , how long does it take to get onto a cargo ship and cross the sea for crying out loud. This is becoming irritating now.

Mine is on its way across Germany by train , then onto England and me hopefully, still not convinced it’s on its way though , we shall see.

Rang the dealer on Friday as he told me that the car would be built this week. First of all why am I having to ring them, anyhow, he now tells me that there may be more delays because of the situation in Ukraine ,this is really beginning to **** me off. I ordered my car over 30 weeks ago in July and was told delivery by Christmas, no word from the dealer so I rang them in November and was told it would be February/March , then I was told it was going to be built this week and be here at the end of March. Rang another dealer today just to see and he said 30 weeks lead time. What to do ? Cancel and look elsewhere , Kia/ Hyundai perhaps , or just sit and hope. I know it’s my decision but any thoughts welcome!

My dad phoned me today to tell me that the main battery on his 21 plate Karoq had gone completely flat , he has been having KESSY issues of recent ,not sure if it’s related, I suspect a battery drain, anyone got ,or had similar issues?

Mine is supposed to be being built this week , then shipped to the U.K. for delivery late March / early April, we shall see. I ordered mine in July 2021.

Used to use them all the time ,when I lived up the road in Bracknell, they are very good and I would highly recommend them.

I ordered 1.5 SE L DSG with rear wiper, winter pack (not much use in spring/ summer) and spare wheel , end of July ,got told last week it’s build week 9 then 4/5 weeks from factory to ferry,

Ordered an SEL with rear wiper, winter pack and spare wheel , in July , just got told last week build week 9;, delivery mid March.

That’s a damned fine idea , I have just got a build week after waiting since July , so I can’t cope with anymore delays , it’s too depressing to even think about.

What fire is that?

Just phoned the dealer and been given a provisional build week of week 9 , which is the beginning of March apparently, then the journey across the North Sea adds time , but at least it’s a bit more positive than it has been for a while.

That’s more contact than I’ve had! I am always chasing up the dealer because they promise call backs and nothing ever materialises, which ****es me off somewhat, I did ring customer services last time , but that is just a misnomer and they are useless.

They don’t seem to be making enough excuses by the looks of it. It irritates me when other brands seem to be able to provide cars with shorter waiting times. I don’t know what rights the consumer has regarding cancellation but I’m wondering whether to find out. Just to add , not impressed with the communications , or lack thereof from the dealer either regards this nonsense.

I rang the dealer in December , because I know someone who ordered another brand about the same time as me ( July/August) and was quoted a May delivery date , but the car arrived in December. The dealer informed me that they hadn’t got a build date but were hoping they would have the car in February. We shall see.
