  1. I agree. Like not having the options I want , which happened with the last Superb I ordered, the salesperson ordered the wrong car , with the wrong options , I ended up with a car that I didn’t order. Back to the present day , I spoke to the dealer yesterday and they’re now talking March / April, which will be 8 months , given other people’s experience on here I’m wondering if they even ordered the car back in July / August , as the car on the order form sent yesterday varies from the July /August order. I shall speak to them tomorrow to clarify matters.
  2. They deserve to be pestered when you’re spending a lot of money. I looked at CarWow this afternoon I think I read it correctly, they are talking June 2022 delivery.
  3. That’s good, he said through gritted teeth! All joking aside , was it a factory order, or a standard car.
  4. Your points are excellent thank you. Surely this situation must be costing a fortune for all concerned.
  5. Thank you for that info , much appreciated. Looking at the state of other manufacturers, the situation seems to be the same , plus I don’t really want any other car.
  6. As I’ve said previously, I ordered my car at the door of July , beginning of August , at the time to be fair the salesman said it would be about 20 weeks , although the order form says delivery mid November, I have heard nothing , I rang customer services, who were useless and they couldn’t answer the question about build week or anything, the order number given by the dealer doesn’t correspond with anything Skoda have. Dealer doesn’t respond to emails , so what to do. Keep the order , or go elsewhere.
  7. Think I will join you there , just rang “customer services”, which is a misnomer if ever I’ve heard one , absolutely no clue about my car , no info at all, completely hopeless, rang the dealer, he didn’t know anything either, but he was more helpful. He did tell me that a few cars had come through , but averaged about 1 car per dealer.
  8. I see, that’s what I did , I ordered a 1.5 petrol SE L, DSG ,metallic paint , spare wheel and winter pack. The salesman told me that everything is factory order at the moment as there is no stock , so I could have what options I wanted, well I could anyway as I’m paying for it. 😀
  9. When did you order your car may I ask?
  10. Surely the offering to pay for the damage is admission of liability.
  11. Just ordered my second Superb today ,was informed that it’s a 20 week wait. No stock either apparently.
  12. That is a very good question , one which I will be asking
  13. The car a has been serviced by Skoda, has low mileage , so the part has failed , in my opinion prematurely.
  14. I’m not sure whether the sensor is covered, even if it was the cost of the consequential damage to the Cat is down to me. Wonder if Skoda might contribute?
  15. To be fair to the garage , the car didn’t show any faults , so it was back to old school methods ;£1600 still hurts though.
  16. It turns out after 5 days investigation that a faulty lambda sensor was to blame ,instructing the car to over fuel and ruining the catalytic converter. Not to worry said I all along I have a Skoda approved used car warranty, should have ripped it up and sold it as bog roll when there was a shortage for all that was worth , turns out catalytic converter not covered ,£1600 shaped hole in my bank account now.
  17. My car a 2016 Octavia 1.4 DSG , failed it’s MOT yesterday and I quote : Exhaust hydrocarbon content after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits (8.2.1.2 (b I have left it with the dealer for them to sort, but apparently it may be a PCV pipe at fault which has split , anyone any idea as to what this does , other than split. Apparently the pipe itself won’t be be covered under the guarantee because they’re not , hopefully the rest will be.
