Mine is a '65 plate but registered 31st Jan 2016 - IIRC it does have the Android Auto option but when you select it it says a license is required. As I say the biggest issue is that the touch screen is sometimes nonresponsive when it's cold. If the car is warm the screen works fine. I've heard that there's quite a big air gap behind the screen as the "guts" are in the glovebox, so wondering if it'd be worth removing the screen and putting some sort of insulation behind it?

Hi guys, Has anyone had any joy replacing the head unit/stereo in their MK3 Octavia? I have a 2015 ('65 plate) SE Business Estate and I've noticed that this time of year the touch screen seems to work intermittently. Ideally with an aftermarket unit, I'd like to keep the sat nav, or at the very least Android Auto so I can use Google Maps on my phone. Many thanks.
