Possible VCDS tweaks in skoda fabia mkii 5j?
Update : I guess the 5J platform Fabia have old control units and doesn't even have long coding support and VCDS doesn't have much info on the bytes and their info. I was able to do some of the below things. 1- Increase the steering assist from normal to higher level in low speeds 2- Increase the number of convenient turn indicator blinks to 3 blinks to 5.

Possible VCDS tweaks in skoda fabia mkii 5j?
Recently I bough a VAG-COM-HEX-V2 interface and was getting to know the VCDS. Though I bough the VAG-COM mainly for diagnosing any issues, I was curious if I can use it enable the stuffs like remote key window rolling up down and needle sweep. Only problem is (at least what I think) is mine is a pretty old model(2010) which doest support long coding as VCDS doesn't show long coding helper as most of the forum post instructs us to work with long coding I wonder if this is possible at all. Things which I am planning to do are: 1- Convenience remote control window up and down. 2 - Needle sweep / Celebration when we turn on the ignition. Any other mods which will be fun is really appreciated: Posting my VCDS scan details which contains all the module versions which can be useful if someone tries to help me. Thanks in advance. EPC light with no error codes.
Finally I was able to buy a HEX-V2 scanner and below is the autoscan results. I can see that the break switch intermittent issue. I have to mention here that I have retrofitted my break light bulbs with LED's will that cause this switch issue? As of now I will replace the LED bulbs with stock one and will check if it resolves the EPC issue. EPC light came on after fuel filter change... car works fine
I have been witht this epc light issue for quite a long time. I have changed spark plugs checked vaccum leaks and even chanhed o2 sensor as shown from the torque app using a elm bluetooth obd adapter. But still I am having thus epc light randomly when the light glows engine power get cuts intermittently while driving and I drive it hardly to reach anywhere I am going to. But now there is no ecm code which can be recognised by the elm327 obd adapter even though the epc light glows the there is no other fault code in ecm. But in this thread I've noticed that break light bulb also cause epc light glow, As I have changed my break light bulbs with Chinese led ones would that cause the epc light to glow?(very recently one of the break light led bulb went off and I have to change it back to halogen yet as I don't have a cheap replacement due to covid) My question is even If the epc light glows due to break light bulb, will it cause ghe engine loose power? Gonna chanhe these bulbs back to stock halogen. Ps- I have retrofitted 90% of my bulbs with led would that also be an cause? Any help is appreciated 🙏

EPC light with no error codes.
First of all apologies for my late reply as I was little occupied with my new job. The wire fits perfectly with the hole which i thought is enough to block the air flow if any. Today I got some time to remove and check the PCV values. below are the pics, I dont think I can rotate the inlet hole as it wont fit :( : The diaphragm was sticking to the cap guess it is not an issue: The diaphragm looks fine: There is some oil in the bottom of the holder: The diaphragm looks fine to me and I guess there was no much leak as from my earlier inspection, So is this could be any other issue? One more suggestion I need is there any cheap VAG-COM reader which atleast works for my fabia ? as the bluetooth app based doesn't give any error code for the EPC light?

EPC light with no error codes.
Hi @Wino Thanks for you inputs. When I tried to block the hole using a wire it didn't make any change in the idle rpm. But If I remove the oil cap the engine almost dies and the idle increases than normal. I couldn't post the video as I am out of quota. Here is the screenshot of toruqe readings when I started the engine if it can be of any help.

EPC light with no error codes.
Thank you for your inputs @sepulchrave: As per your suggestion I've inspected the brake servo vaccum line which looks fine with no visible breaking. But when I started the engine to see if I can hear any leaks but there were nothing I can hear so further inspection on the PCV there is a slight hissing which I can hear. But one issue which I found was when In idle If i remove the oil level gauge there is a slight change in idle RPM with slight compression leak. But If I open the oil filler cap in the engine there is ahuge air leak and the engine losses too much power and sounds like its gonna stall I have added the idle video. I suspect the PCV valve could be the culprit. Any info on how to open the PCV vaves to inspect the diaphragm? If PCV needs to be replaced can I just replace the diaphragm as shon in some videos or the whole unit? 229401.mp4

EPC light with no error codes.
Hi Members, First of all I would like to thank you all who helped me in fixing and diagnosing many issues in my fabia mk2. Now coming to the issue. I own a skoda fabia mk2 1.2htp petrol 12V CEVA engine. Somewhere aroud a year back I started to notice the EPC light coming on randomly. Below are my observations. 1- If I start the engine and drive it without AC then the epc light doesn't comes on but if I use the AC it comes on little early. 2- The easiest way to get the epc light glow is If I drive to somewhere and keep it in idle the epc light glows withing 5 mins(maybe due to overheating?) 3- Whenever the epc light glows I the idle is fine but only in gear acceleration suffers (the acceleration behaves oddly like loosing power withing seconds and I let the gas pedal go and press it again to gain power which makes the engine jerks ) 4- Another thing which I noticed is Whenever the epc light is on only in gear acceleration suffers if I put it in neutral the acceleration and idle seems fine. To diagnose this I've used my bluetooth obd2 adapter and Torque app immediately whenever the epc light glows but there is no error code even not any temporary code. Only thing I did to drive by wire was putting wd40 in the acceleration pedal a year back which I am suspecting recently opened the drive my wire accelerator motor which looked fine. Any help is appreciated.

Are pre and post catalytic converter lambda/Oxygen sensors interchangeable?
Sorry for the confusion, There is a chance the sensors may have messed up since I bought this car used and it may have been repaired in local shops where they have fitted the wrong sensors, As you have suggested I will look for alternatives and will put proper sensor on each of the slots. From what I know the heating coil can be tested for continuity to check if they work or not, Is there a simple way to check if the oxygen sensor work (the other two grey and black wires) ? except the ECU codes? After searching for a while I do not think that they are interchangeable due to unavailability of information on how these sensors work internally especially the VAG ones. Thanks you for the explanation now I getting familiar with using 7Zap.com, I have one doubt in 7zap.com link, The diagram shows 4 cylinders instead of 3, Do we have to be concerned about it?

Are pre and post catalytic converter lambda/Oxygen sensors interchangeable?
Thanks for the reply. My Engine code is: CEVA 51KW 70HP 1.2Ltr 3Cylinder Date:01/07-09/10 Model: Fabia MK2 5J 1.2 HTP. Regarding the connector both sensor have same connector with same colour of wires In My case the connector from the car loom for post cat was destroyed and connected only using bare ISO pins, Removed post cat lambda sensor of skoda fabia mk2 1.2htp, Part Number : VWAG 03E 906 262 C 12V: Skoda fabia Pre cat lambda sensor part number :VWAG 03E 906 262 B 12V: lambda sensor connector loom for reference.

Are pre and post catalytic converter lambda/Oxygen sensors interchangeable?
Dear fellows, Hope you are all safe and enjoying your rides. Recently my Skoda fabia 1.2 HTP MK2 5J(Pre Facelift) 70kKms engine idle started to feel little rought so read the codes using obd bluetooth adapter with torque app. Got P0031 and P0036 so after removing and checking the post cat lambda sensors (which only came off easily) when tested using multimeter the heater circuit white wire the circuit was open so I've finalised that the heater element is faulty and with the code it looked like the sensor not giving proper values to the ECU. While checking for replacements the part numbers were Pre Cat - VWAG 03E 906 262 B 12V Post Cat - VWAG 03E 906 262 C 12V Only the B and C were different but both sensors have same color coded 4 wires and look kind of same. But the post cat was available online for around 40$USD(2700 Indian Rupees) and the pre cat was not available (still listed for 900USD which i will never gonna buy). My question is are those both pre and post cat lambda sensors are interchangeable? If no, Any generic sensor available? Or any alternative from VAG OEM? Thanks in advance and happy holidays.
