Accessing the rear parking sensors
Have a 2021 Vrs estate and one of my sensors has fallen through to the void under the bumper. How easy is it to access this area? Is it a bumper off situation? tia.

Tyres !!
I've put Avon's on both my current Octavia and previous Superb and they both perform pretty well. I do get some wheel spin from the fronts on hard acceleration on the Vrs(but no worse than the Pirelli's previously fitted ).

Possible new car incoming.
Cheers guys been offered £8500 online from Motorway so will see how that goes. Lead time on new car is 13 weeks so may try to sell privately in the meantime. I have a van I can run about in until I get the new car so have time to play with.

Possible new car incoming.
Looking likely I'll be buying a new Superb Estate(DSG 1.5 SE L). Skoda are offering a £3k incentive on PCP, Typically the trade in price they are offering is pretty insulting (7,5k) on a 67 plate Mk3 Saloon 1.6tdi S 120 DSG with just under 80k miles. Would it be worth my while trying to sell privately ? I'm thinking the car is worth at least 9.5-10k? Thoughts?

Shock and spring change rear DIY?
Just got round to doing this and as usual for me it became more of a task than first anticipated. This is down to my lack of preperation(new shocks didn't come with mounts or bump stops so had to order a dd no 6 socket to remove old mount) and fact my front spring broke too. Everything else was pretty straight forward and knuckle scrapes were only damage done. Ended up going for Ridex shocks and eibach springs for £123 delivered from Autodoc. Time will tell how good they are. Thanks for assistance.

Shock and spring change rear DIY?
Thanks for that, I've done it before on old cars/vans without too much trouble but watched an autodoc video(admittedly on an ocatvia) and it looked overly complicated.

Shock and spring change rear DIY?
Just had cambelt change and service on 2017 1.6tdi saloon. With 2 tyres had little change from a grand and been told I need a new spring(broken) and a shock for rear offside. Don't have the money to get it done at a dealer just now so is this a job I could carry out myself on the driveway. Has anyone on here done this and what makes would you recommend(could maybe do with a slightly uprated set up as I occasionally tow a motorbike trailer.) TIA.

Wheel upgrade
I've fitted 18's to my S which should have 16's on. Aesthetically they are far better and fill the arches now. Not noticed much increase in hardness or road noise but tyre choice will be a factor. 234/45/18 are the recommended fitment not sure what 19's would be but google will tell you.

Radiator replacement. Has anyone tried to do it themselves?
Radiator developed a leak today during the extreme heat. A steady stream was coming from the bottom of the unit.AA man reckons a stone has pierced it. K seal did the job to get me home but I fear a new radiator is required. Has anyine attempted this themselves? Have seen some eye watering prices for a dealer to do it.

Advice required for a VCDS f&*k up
Thanks for all advice guys(gals?). Only got round to it today as been working away. Removed the motor as per video but spindle keeps turning clockwise. Piston would not budge either so I'm having to seek professional help. I'll let you know the damage..... ouch......

Advice required for a VCDS f&*k up
Don't know about a manual function. Wasn't wanting to further knacker things. I will try the battery reset in am.

Advice required for a VCDS f&*k up
I'm a complete numpty. Was changing my rear brake pads today on my Superb 3. I used VCDS to release the calipers. All going well until I tried to place the caliper over the new pads. There was no way it was fitting and it looked as if the caliper rod hadn't fully retracted so I tried the 'Start lining' function again however it said it had already performed the function and nothing happened. I then stupidly pressed the end lining function in case there was a slight chance it would free up the rod however it began to open and because of no resistance continued until it opened fully despite me frantically trying to end the process before it did so. It is now showing malfunction when I attempt to start lining process. I have disconnected in fear of doing even more damage. My questions are: Have a knackered the rod/caliper brakes? What is my best course of action to remedy. Please be harsh I'm an idiot.

DPF regeneration? 1.6tdi
Issue solved. Apparently was an ecu relay fault. Replaced by Henry’s Glasgow after good old Arnold’s (where I bought the car) couldn’t even look at it until 17th August! They even gave me a brand new T -Roc to run around in for the 4 hours it took them diagnose and remedy the problem. Outstanding service from them in stark contrast to AC who really couldn’t give a toss after you’ve paid the money.

Yes it does sound as if it’s the same issue. Thanks for Posting.

DPF regeneration? 1.6tdi
Have searched the threads but can’t find a similar issue. My 67 plate Superb has been running, well, superb since I purchased it nearly 2 years ago. I have put about 28000 miles on it and it now sits at just over 41k. it performs the dpf regeneration fairly regularly(maybe once a week ) and I always noticed it happening immediately after stopping the vehicle. Last week I came out my house to go to the garage and noticed the noise of what I believe to be regeneration occurring even though the car had been sitting stationary overnight. I though nothing of it at that time but when I came to use the car about an hour later the noise was still present. (I have no idea if it had continued throughout this time). The vehicle wouldn’t start and I had to start via a power pack. The car was running fine for a few days and yesterday I travelled a 240 mile round trip varying speeds (3 hours each way) with no issues. Today I noticed the regeneration noise occurring when I went to my car today for work. It started fine but about 10 miles into my journey the engine warning light came on. On tracking my destination I noticed the regeneration noise occurred as I stopped the vehicle however it continued for about 5 minutes. I attempted to start the vehicle and it refused. My wife, kindly, brought her car to me (as I needed to use a vehicle) and on her way I managed to start the car with no assistance. I left it running and she took it home. She has since informed me it was making a strange noise as if the fans were in when she stopped and again the battery is flat. I’m stuck at work until 11pm and was just wondering if anyone can explain the problem ? I very rarely do short journeys in the car. I have VCDS so will plug it in when I get home or tomorrow. Apologies for the long winded post in advance. Thanks Phil

Scored rear discs Superb 3
Just had four new tyres fitted to my 2017 1.6tdi dsg. On collection mechanics told me to keep an eye on my rear pads as they were low and my discs would need changing soon. I thought it was just the usual tactic employed by these garages(Kwik Fit/National etc) to get you just to get them changed there and then but when I got home I had a look. Sure enough both rear discs look excessively scored and will need changed. Is this normal for a 23000 mileage car. I'm assuming the mechanically handbrake doesn't help on these cars but I am not one for using the brakes excessively. Could there be another issue?
