Hi, I’m looking at 2 Octavias to possibly buy - 1. 2018 1.5 TSI petrol manual, 95000 miles, FSH. 2. 2018 1.0 TSI petrol manual, 86000 miles, FSH. Any opinions on which to go for?

I have been to see this car today and was very impressed. Can anyone give an answer on when it needs its cam belt replacing. The more I’ve searched here and elsewhere the more confused I’ve become. Thanks

My car has a worrying noise which I suspect is the gearbox or the clutch? It occurs when the engine is hot and stops when the clutch pedal is pressed down. Car is a 12 plate 1.4 TSI manual. Any ideas on the cost of replacing a gearbox and a clutch? 🙄

Accelerator pedal won’t push down as normal. Hard to tell when you first set off but once you get to about 10/15 mph it’s very noticeable. Almost like there is something under the pedal but there isn’t. Any ideas? Thanks.

The blowers on my otherwise faultless new purchase Octavia 1.4 TSI 2012 are wheezy to say the least. It takes forever to de mist the windscreen and the cabin vents do very little either when selected. I’ve seen other posts about a re set. Is this something worth trying on my car?

I'm looking at a 2012 1.4 TSI Octavia Elegance hatchback. From reading lots of other posts about this engine, I think this engine is chain driven? The car doesn't have a rattle when starting from cold but is there anything else I can look out for if I go back and see the car again? Thanks.
