    I’m looking at this car on Autotrader and have noticed that it only has a 5 speed gearbox. I currently drive 6 speed 1.0 Rapid so I’m wondering what the difference would be? The Octavia has 57000 miles on it. Any opinions appreciated.

    I have been to see this car today and was very impressed. Can anyone give an answer on when it needs its cam belt replacing. The more I’ve searched here and elsewhere the more confused I’ve become. Thanks

  4. Noisy gearbox

    My car has a worrying noise which I suspect is the gearbox or the clutch? It occurs when the engine is hot and stops when the clutch pedal is pressed down. Car is a 12 plate 1.4 TSI manual. Any ideas on the cost of replacing a gearbox and a clutch? 🙄
