Rear parking break fault
Thanks for the info, Battery was changed about 1 month ago. I have cleaned around the connection and used the car yesterday with no problems, as you say could be just a electrical gremlin. If I get it again I will attempt to unplug it to check contacts.. Thanks for your help

Rear parking break fault
the fault code is C100D13 Says left hand Parking Brake Motor voltage supply - open circuit Wondering if it could be a simple thing such as dirty connector but not sure about disconnecting it as don't want to break the clip on the connector.

Rear parking break fault
Hi All, I have a superb Mk3 Estate 2018 and for the last couple of days while driving I get a fault come up saying rear parking break fault, but once i stop the car and turn it off and restart the car it clears the fault. and the operates ok again. I've had both rear wheels off and checked wires and cant see any loose connections, wondering if anyone has had this type of fault or what was required to solve the problem.

Battery change
This is the tool i used icarsoft vaws 3.0 - Google Search I got it from Diagnostic World and done the updates on it, I was just unsure to start wit as i didn't want to start something i couldn't get out of. When i first finished putting the new battery in the stop/ Start only worked when i put the car into park position, after a short drive it worked properly. Thanks again everyone always get useful information.

Battery change
Thank You for all the information it has been very helpful, Stop/Start is now working fine after taking it for a longer run. Perhaps the ECU had to learn that a new battery had been fitted. all working great now 👍

Battery change
Update, changed my battery today with no problems. i registered the new battery with mu icarsoft Vaws 3.0 , i started by turning off radio and heater. after reconnecting the new battery i didn't lose any radio presets, only thing i lost was the trip meter. also after turning steering wheel fully to left and right cleared any warning lights on dash. Taken it for a drive and all seems well apart from the STOP/START doesn't seem to be working properly at the moment, but been told it can take a while for the ECU to learn a new battery has been fitted. Anyone else came across that ? Would like to thank you all for the information you have given me.

Battery change
Just another question does anyone use a memory saver when disconnecting their car battery to save losing settings such as clock and radio settings if so what type do you use ? I know my cigarette lighter is not permanently live when the ignition is off. And is it wise to connect power to the ODB port without causing ang damage.

Battery change
Thanks for the info my battery has failed the test with Topdon BT200 and will still replace it with an EFB but 700A instead of 680A. my only concern is getting the battery in as there isn't much room.. i have a vaws 3.0 to code battery in if needed. Any information to make the job a bit easier is greatly appreciated .

oil and filter change
Thank You, that does seem a good idea. would you do that from the dip stick hole? Would certainly make the job a lot quicker. providing I don't get any plastic pipes stuck. ☺️

oil and filter change
Well I have decided to carry out Oil Changes about every 6000 Miles or so and feel better knowing the oil filter is next to the dip stick . I don't have a pit i can put the car over so thinking of putting on ramps, does anyone have any suggestions on ramps some seem to be a steep incline so just looking for something that is easy enough to get on and get the car high enough. Thanks for any help as always.

oil and filter change
62000 had 5 oil changes from main Dealer. Think it would make me feel better to know the oil is protecting the internal parts of the engine and reducing ware.

oil and filter change
Thanks Ian , That is what I strongly believe in that 6000 Miles should be the max. I'm sure oil cannot be protecting engine parts when its been in for 15000 +

oil and filter change
Great thank you I think the main dealers leave it far to long before oil changes. I have the same engine and will start doing exactly as you have stated. I know it's best to change sump plug but wasn't sure of the location of the oil filter the only videos I've seen are on Diesels where it is located und the vehicle.

oil and filter change
Yes did also think of that option but would i be right thinking the oil filter is located next to the dip stick under the bonnet, i know on some models its accessed from under the vehicle

oil and filter change
Hi all. I normally have my car serviced by the main dealer and it seem such a long time between oil changes. my question is do any of you change your own oil and filter before the recommended mileage from the dealers, also not sure what oil the dealers use but it still looks black after being changed. Am i also right that the oil filter is located next to the dip stick and can be changed simply under the bonnet, i realize that i will have to put the car on ramps and remove the cover to get access to the drain plug.. I've looked for videos online but they just seem to be on diesel cars. i have Superb mk3 L&K estate 2018 Any information will be a great help in making me decide on the way forward, Thanks
