  1. Hi all, I am noticing a leak of automatic transmission fluid from lower edge ,passenger side of the auto box. There is a sensor which I can feel but not see ,that I feel is the culprit. I am hoping that I can lower the gearbox end (IE Tilt the unit) so that I can view the sensor. has anyone done this and encountered any particular problems , or quick tricks to help. Thanks in anticipation Mick
  2. Thank you, that clears that up. Book the MOT now
  3. Hi all, I am hoping that I have found the starting fault issue. I believe it was one of the hidden relays behind the dash, the long one . it seemed loose in the carrier so OI twisted the pins slightly and it appears to be working now. I just checked the headlights and they only appear to work with the ignition ON , is that correct, My own vehicle works without .Thanks in advance
  4. Hi all I am trying to find drawings of the ECU for a Fabia Mk1 1.4 16v auto in order to locate all the earth (Supulchre suggested I look at all the earths ) I can see 2 ECU`s one on the back wall and one behind the battery. If I can find drawings I can check all the earthing points So far I have done the 2 large ones in the engine bay but cannot find the one in front of the gear stick. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
  5. Thank you, I shall check the earths tomorrow

  11. Hi all. my sons car has recently developed a starting problem its a1.4 16v petrol and starts on the button 99.5 percent of the time however just lately it refuses to start no mater what you do .if you leave it overnight it starts first time again. I had it transported to my house just after x mas and every time I passed it it started yesterday it started at 10 am then wouldnt start at 10..10. my cheap diag machine says injector open circuit to injectors on all cylinders if I clear it it starts. Where should I be looking please. Thanks Mick
  12. Hi all. I seem to have resolved the "bank1" mixture problem , by cutting a bad end to a vacuum pipe. I now have an air bag light lit but I am unable to see it on my cheap diagnostic tool.is there any quick way to extinguish the light please or perhaps somewhere to look for solution to the problem. On another note someone on Marketplace is offering a VAG diagnostic programme for a laptop and is prepared to install it and prove that it works prior to payment. Any info would be appreciated. The price is £45 . Thanks in advance Mick
  13. Hi all just put reader on my sons car and it is showing "Fuel trim bank A " Could someone explain please, the car is running fine. Thanks in advance
