Don't hold your breath mate. My some headlight MK3 was such a lovely trouble free car to drive. I really regret getting this one.

Apparently it did. But as I say I haven't taken mine in for it yet.

My mate who has a 2l went to the agents in Slough and they have apparently applied a software fix. When I'm back for longer I'll be doing the same as the noise is one of s number of niggles I have with mine.

Same problem. My old split headlight Octavia had no issues. This one on the other hand has a number of flaws.

I have had one for just on a year now and I love her. For such a small engine the car goes like the clappers. I moved down from a 2.2 HDi diesel and can honestly say I rarely ever notice I am driving a car with +50% less engine capacity. Keeping her in performance mode I still get 60mph on a long run easily. The small issues I have had is the stop start can be a bit flakey on occasion. You think you are pulling away only to see the dash message of "restart car manually." The collision detection has kicked ina few times while parking at low speeds nearly giving me whiplash. Other than that she is great. I have another year on the lease and will probably look at another Skoda with this engine at the end of the lease,

HI there. Can anyone advise me the best place to get a replacement drivers side mirror, reasonably priced, for my Octavia please. I went out this morning to find my mirror had been destroyed by a BMW driver - his mirror was also smashed - but luckily no other damage. Does anyone know if a mirror from a left hand drive car would work as I can possibly get one for a good price? I wouldnt expect there to be any difference but I could be wrong! :)

I sorted it. I checked the permissions. Enabled most of them and also enabled auto start for both apps. All good now.

Ive never been impressed with Android Auto. Ive had numerous hire cars in Spain over the last two years with it installed. I always find the connections flakey and prone to drop easily. In this car I dont have that problem. What I do have is Waze will load and then freeze. Turning the car off and rebooting the phone doesnt help. Spotify wont load at all. I use a XiaomiMi Max2 phone. Ill take a look at whether the AA software in the car needs updating and whether I have the latest version on my phone. Its irritating as I far prefer Waze to any other SatNav software i have.

So Ive just taken delivery of one of these 1.0 models. I took a long motorway journey and to say I was quite impressed is to put it mildly. The car sits happily at 80mph and as long as the revs are over 2200 overtaking is not the chore I thought it would be. This engine is more than 50% smaller than my old car but the difference was not as apparent as I thought it would be. So far I am pretty pleased.
