  1. I had exactly the same for my 17 plate at it's MOT a few weeks ago. It turned out to be gunk clogging the motor/pump which feeds the rear washer. I was quoted about £65 for labour to clean it out compared with £130 without labour for a replacement pump.
  2. I had the same issue with these tyres on my 17 plate Octavia. After sending messages and pix to Dunlop, they advised that their tyres were guaranteed for 5 years from the date of manufacture and, to cut a long story short, took back the 4 tyres and gave me a refund for the unused tread. Naturally I did not replace them with the same. I reported this on here back in early 2019 if you can find the thread.
  3. HUD .... I drove a 'vette with it and it's just soooooo much better than the dashboard
  4. I bought a 2017 1.4 SE L manual a year ago and it's great. Long term average consumption 51mpg and still goes like a stabbed rat when required. Go for it!
  5. Checked the 'since refill' today, and No it did not reset, only the LTA zeroed.
  6. Interesting ..... the long term average on my '17 SE L reset on the first drive after Jan 1 and I thought it had summat to do with the new year ......
  7. I had a small service on my 2017 SE L today and the garage advised that the nearside front shock was leaking .... after only 14350 miles ... and needed to be replaced. I bought a 2 year service plan when I purchased the car a year ago so I returned to the same garage for the service. Expecting a fight over the cost to replace the shock, I was pleasantly surprised when they calmly stated that it was a warranty item. Result. Just hope the other front shock doesn't go the same way in the next 6 months.
  8. FWIW EU4 diesels need Eolys fluid which makes liquid gold look as cheap as water (£47+ per litre, my V50 needed 3 litres and could only be filled underneath the car, under pressure), EU5 diesels need Adblue which is more like another fuel additive, EU6 diesels require neither but all of them have DPFs which can/will cause injury to the wallet. My V50 was an EU4 diesel and, to cut a long story short, cost me £1400+ to stop limp home mode and fix the emissions. Even tho it was a very good low mileage car, owned from new, with no other issues, I had to bin it and bought my petrol Octavia. Diesel? NEVER again.
  9. I did give it a go. Received the clear protector very quickly a few days ago and then had to source some isopropyl alcohol. Fitted the protector yesterday, it looks really good. And, by the way, I don't work for them either!
  10. Thanks for the feedback - that looks pretty good to me. I'm going to give it a go as well I think.
  11. Any feedback yet on this bumper protector? If it works well and there are no issues with supply, I could be up for one.
  12. Sounds like you've set the Limit speed rather than the Cruise Control .........
  13. Eventually I received a letter from Goodyear Dunlop saying that they were making a dealer allowance for the unused tread on all four tyres (ranging from 40-75%) and sending it to the tyre centre (F1 Tyres Cheltenham). So now I've got to find the way to get the cash rather than a credit as I've already bought the new tyres. I must say that the Michelin Cross Climate tyres are excellent - good grip, handling and quiet - result, now I just need the cash!
  14. All 4 wheel centres on my 2017 were showing 'corrosion' around the edges and have been replaced today under warranty. It seems to be a common fault from these discussions.
  15. Got the car back today and it looks like the same steering column stalk fault. The garage found an error code associated with this, sent the details to engineering, got the reply to replace the stalk under warranty. So far so good. Now got to see if it lasts. Hope this helps anyone else having similar issues.
