Are there any sign when the battery on a 2018 Octavia scout is about to fail Thought I had the problem today but fortunately it was the key battery. My car is on its original battery so can probably expect it to play up sooner or later. I just wonder if there are signs to look out for. Thank you

Purchased my car as a 6 month old ex demonstrator with high spec that included 225/45 R18 95W tyres. I live in a rural location and need to contend with rough roads. Having said that the majority of my driving is on motorways.I’ve owned the car just over 4 years and at every service I get notified of at least two of the tyres need to be replaced urgently. I had four new tyres fitted last February and today have been advised that 2 need replacing urgently (illegal). I wonder if the low profile tyres together with the rough roads I travel on is the problem . I would like advice on the best tyre size to fit the wheels I have. Thank you in advance.

Sorry to hear leaving this site as I always look forward to reading your advise. A real shame that someone so knowledgeable on Skoda, especially the Octavia scout, will no longer be sharing your immense wisdom. I for one will greatly miss you. If the cambelt doesn’t drive the water pump, would it still be advisable to replace the water pump whilst changing the cambelt.

A friend of mine has just purchased a 2015 (November) a Fabia 1.2 tsi 110. Does it have a cambelt or timing chain? If it is a belt, does it drive the water pump and how much would it cost him to replace.

I have a 2018 Octavia Scout which had its battery replaced under warranty during its 2 year service. I hadn’t experienced any problems with the battery so I guess they replaced it knowing that it was going to be problematic.

I own a 2018 Octavia scout and wanted to add some protection to the rear bumper to avoid damage whilst loading and unloading . I have contacted various suppliers but they all state that their bumper protectors do not fit the Scout. Can anyone recommend where I might find one that fits.
