engine light
I could call the AA, not sure if it counts as a breakdown but would get diagnostic then

engine light
Thanks for the reply. Serviced annually, light just came on. Only unusual thing is that had been sitting with ignition on for lunch beforehand. E10, most recently BP.

This has come on, manual says it's about emissions rather than engine. Power unaffected. Is it an urgent fix?

Inspection Service
Hi, am getting the mot done at the dealer, who are not going to charge me for resetting the interval. Thanks for all the advice! Mark

Inspection Service
Hi, I did what the video suggested, same as pic below, but this has re-set the oil service interval rather than the inspection interval:

Inspection Service
Hi, I have a 2017 MK3 Superb, that was serviced 11 months ago at the stealership. It is on the two year schedule. I now have a message to say "inspection service due". For a car that is now 6 years old, I think it's probably getting past where it's worth the hassle and price of going to Skoda for stuff. So, as the MOT is due anyway, can you see an issue in just getting that done and leaving the service 12 months, or would an oil change at a local garage be worth doing while it's there? And is it possible for me to reset the indicator to say that the "inspection" has been done? Many thanks for your advice - this is a great forum! Mark

vibrations above 50mph
Quite! Indeed, these were fitted before I got the car, which was recently. The dealer has agreed to meet the cost of balancing.

vibrations above 50mph
As it happens, yes, but the garage didn't think it would make any difference. Either way, the car is driving nice and smoothly now, I just need to dampen the vibrating fuel lines and I'll be a happy bunny. On another note, the 220 engine really is fast, every time I put my foot down I smile. First car I've had that can lose traction at 40mph just from accelerating though, I can see why 4x4 is recommended for this engine. The 280 engine must be nuts!

Just had rear wheels balanced, problem solved. Apparently it's not unusual for rears not to be rebalanced when new tyres are fitted. Both were quite out.

It's a good, and cheap, place to start I guess!- vibrations above 50mph
It's actually different tyres on the rear, have updated on a post- vibrations above 50mph
Thanks for the replies, I've just had a look at the back and it was a delinte dh2 rear drivers side W rated and Avon zv7 rear passenger Y rated. Both front ones Avon zz5 Y. Didn't notice when I got it. Seems a shame to get rid of such expensive tyres, all have lots of tread, cannot see sawtooth from what I can tell. All are the correct size.- vibrations above 50mph
My mk3 TSI vibrates at speed, it's not something that peaks at a certain speed like if wheels are out of balance. You can feel it in the seats but not the steering wheel. Noticeable on the motorway mostly. I'm not sure if it's geometry, or tyres that are too hard (Avon zz5 235/45R18 98Y extra load). They've got a lot of tread so shame to change them. Appreciate any thoughts, thank you- Roofbars
No, no sunroof (the pic is from the website that sells these ones) Have you got a pic that you wouldn't mind posting on here Ivan?- Roofbars
I'm thinking of getting roofbars for my Superb Estate, which is metallic grey with silver rails. I don't need huge width as will only be putting a roofbox on (not bikes etc too) or using them for trips back from Selco. I'll probably leave them on the whole time, so thinking of the really quiet Yakima ones. Do you agree the flush ones are better than through bars, and are there any better websites than this one (roofbox.co.uk)? Thanks, Mark- vibrating fuel lines
Perfect, thank you. I can't quite see in the pic where the pad has gone but it should make sense when I have a go.- vibrating fuel lines
I get vibrations coming from driver door around 1800-2000 revs, it's completely consistent with fuel lines vibrating against the body. The car is five years old, so around the point when it's not worth paying dealership prices for rubberised fuel lines. How easy and feasible do you think it would be to do at home? I'm reasonably competent, and could use cloth based tape. Or has anyone had this fixed at a non dealer, was it expensive? Many thanks, Mark- nearly new or new
Has anyone else used autoebid? I'd not heard of them before, but really good prices.- 19" wheels - too hard?
Hi there, I've read in many reviews that 19" wheels are very hard and unforgiving, but have also been told by a dealer that DCC can more than compensate for this. It would be lovely to hear the views of someone who has actually had a car as their own - what do you think? Many thanks, Mark- nearly new or new
Thank you, I'm looking for an auto, hence why it didn't come up!- nearly new or new
Thank you for the reply, I was wondering where you found this car, it doesn't seem to be on Autotrader?- nearly new or new
Hi there, I'm looking to get a petrol superb and want to keep it for a long time, probably until it's 10-12 years old. Am trying to decide between new SE tech, or up to two years old with higher spec. Obviously a two year old L&K has lots of toys and would be an amazing car, but with a new one I can only pay for the extras that I want as well as having zero miles and full skoda warranty, I may pay for a longer warranty too. Be grateful for your thoughts. The car running for ten years is more important than the spec. Thanks, Mark- reversing camera
Thank you so much for the replies, that all looks very doable - and easier that on my Octavia when I had to use a relay to bypass canbus and the internal light to power the monitor! My only hesitation is, if I'm fortunate though to get a 1-2 year old car, if this voids the warranty....- reversing camera
Hi, Has anyone fitted a reversing camera to a MK3 superb that uses the existing screen? Be grateful for any info or links. Thanks, Mark - vibrations above 50mph
