  1. It's well below minimum, and I don't have distilled water! The stuff with ethanediol is universal and premixed so should be fine for now I hope. Not put it in yet....
  2. I'm afraid I don't have any more info than the original post. From what research one done today it seems like many of the oat ones have the same chemical under different names. So I think it would be ok to add premixed ethanediol with what is already there, but would be grateful for confirmation before proceeding.
  3. Does ethanediol not supercede these?
  4. Hi, Coolant is low, looks pink. Local garage has orange coolant containing ethanediol. Is this ok to put in? Not much choice of where to buy as Easter Sunday, but got a motorway drive later. ThanksπŸ‘πŸ»
  5. Ps car driving noticeably better nowπŸ‘πŸ»
  6. Thanks all, I actually changed my mind and did it yesterday whilst I was there. The only thing I hadn't factored in was how long it would take as they had to let it cool down!
  7. Hi, Car is 2016, 86k. Last DSG oil change was at 44k. Dealership quoted Β£280 which seems too high so I've declined that! Wondering what is a reasonable price, and how important it is to get this done. Likely to be keeping the car for 2-3 years. Thanks, Mark
  8. Thanks all, really helpful
  9. Hi, Both front door speakers are making a buzzing/farting sound. Before I get new cones, can I check that it is likely to be new speakers that is needed rather than another cause? Thanks, Mark
  10. Thank you, I've decided to pay for it to be done, I don't want to break the airbags!
  11. Hi, The speaker in the front door has started farting, really not pleasant to listen to. I can get Pioneer speakers online for Β£70 then either fit then myself or pay someone to do it, and have been quoted Β£300 for Audison speakers supplied and fitted. I don't know whether the originals are full range or just bass, how much hassle it is to replace them, and how the quality of Pioneer, Audison or indeed the original cones compare so would appreciate some advice I should say that music is important to me and I'll appreciate a good sound. Thanks, Mark
  12. If you can scan and reset yourself, then see which code returns after resetting.
  13. You need a diagnostic done, and may need to get codes reset to see which come back
  14. Live in London, WFH , odd drive to Midlands.
  15. Have you any views on the sound levels?
  16. Hi, A few years ago I changed from my 2009 diesel Octavia to a 2017 petrol superb, one factor was how noisy the diesel was. Am considering going back to an Octavia as the boot on the non phev is nearly as big as the superb but running costs will be better. I'd be grateful to know how noisy/quiet the newer diesels are compared to the petrols? Thanks, Mark
  17. You may need to get the codes reset, then see which one it is with the light comes back on, if there is more than one error
  18. Hi, Yes, turns out it was the Lambda (oxygen) sensor. After resetting the errors it was this code that twice returned, Mark
  19. Yes, 2.0 TSI. P22700 LAMBDA SENSOR (Bank1, Sensor 2), but I'd also need to buy kit to reset the orange light - is that expensive?
  20. Thanks both, much appreciated. Off to a garage.....
  21. Hi, Was wondering what a sensible price should be to replace this, and if it could be done myself (although that would mean buying kit to reset the orange light)? Thanks, Mark
  22. I'll give that try when back to the car (bonnet), thank you
