  1. Every one knew Ferrari were at it last year, when the FIA issued a 'clarification' to the rules at the US GP, suddenly the prancing horse became a limping donkey.
  2. 1 Ferrari and 1 Renault fail to make Q3.
  3. The part that I really don't understand is that why RB have decided to protest now. The whole world knew about the DAS system at the beginning of the year and as Camelspyyder pointed out the FIA declared it legal.
  4. Red Bull are protesting Mercedes DAS system stating that it is a moving aerodynamic device. Luckily for RB Racing their flexible front wing from a few years ago that touched the road when the car was at speed was perfectly legal. 🤔

Drill out the old thread completely with the correct size drill for the helicoil tap. You shouldn't need any adhesive to retain the helicoil.
  6. I normally trade in at around 80k miles, but when the Octavia came up around that mileage the VW diesel scandal broke, so I decided to sit tight and wait for the dust to settle. I did around 85k miles in the previous mk2 elegance combi, which was also a 1.6 with the DSG. The only issue I had with that was an oil leak on the heat exchanger, it was just out of warranty and the dealer only charged me £110 to replace it as a goodwill gesture.
  7. As per title I finally said goodbye to the Octavia Mk3 Combi today. It was a 2014 elegance 1.6 CR DSG in denim blue with heated screen and seats, 165,000 miles, a few sets of tyres, variable servicing and cambelt / water pump change at 132,000. No real issues except for a cold starting problem last winter, which mysteriously disappeared one day.
  8. Looking forward to watching this film. Any Briskodians seen it yet?
