I have a Volton ZR1220 split charge relay in a side pocket of my Superb II boot. It's wired with a plug on the inlet and a socket on the outlet. When carrying cold food going on holiday I keep an electric coolbox plugged in (similar to yours) and it turns on a few seconds after starting the engine and turns off a few seconds after turning off

    Photos attached - I think?

  2. bigjohn's post in PCP coming to an end dilemma!?!? was marked as the answer
At 40 miles a day for 5 days a week/every week your mileage is just over 10k/year so PCH a possibility - Some cracking VAG PCH deals around at the moment eg Simpsons Skoda

Common failure on the 1.9 PD is the injector wiring loom, this will show up as injector failure.dropping a cylinder or two when in fault mode.

Wiring failures cause injector(s) to be tripped out - possibly reset for a while on startup. The loom sits in a hostile hot and oily environment inside the engine.

Wont be DMF as that wont fix itself by turning off and on again
