  1. Hi guys I'm going to change above as car now has 100k on it . I have searched for oil type and amount but there are so many different answers it's left me confused. What do I look for on eBay please and how much will I need. 1.6tdi 2013 mk2 105hp Thanks Dave
  2. I always stick with OEM stuff it's worked for 9 years up to changing them so that's good enough for me.
  3. Not really just get both front wheels off and unbolt em from the bulk head at the bottom . It's all pretty easy stuff just nuts and bolts
  4. I had a clunk noise on the nearside front prob down to the sorry state of the roads , Anyway I took wheel off and got pry bar out nothing really obvious with drop link/ball joints etc ,All I could find was a very small amount of play in the anti roll bar bush so I ordered a set and did em today (both sides) and the clunk is no more 😉 . They didn't look perished or worn to be honest but but you can see the difference on the noisy one ,The flat side is thinner and softer. Only posting this incase it helps others for a cheap fix (£8)
  5. thanks guys i will monitor it and if it drops again its time to get under it and have a look firstly ...
  6. thanks for replying , im now monitoring the level and checking when cold in the mornings to get a true reading every time . when cars coolant drops and there is no leaks where does it go ???
  7. hi guys ,i got the red warning on dash and checked coolant to find it had dropped below low level but not empty , my missus drives it now and a couple of days ago she reported a noise which sounded like a washing machine pump , im guessing its the electric coolant (B) pump . ive not had a chance to look under it yet to check for leaks etc . anybody else had a similar issue and do you think they might be connected ? the coolant droped about an inch in the expansion bottle and once topped up the light went out and it drives normally .. 1.6 tdi 105hp thanks dave
  8. The car is 2013 mk 2 the lights I'm talking about are the ones that go out when any of the lights are selected, also turned off with the switch in the fuse box . I remember years ago on bikes you had to put a resistor in the wiring to stop em flashing fast. I just wondered if they now make bulbs which have it all built in. Cheers
  9. But still a good visual aid for the many blind idiots on the roads.
  10. Thanks for replying but not exactly what I needed.
  11. hi guys I'm now sick of replacing my bulbs in the front driving lights , are there any led's that will work without fault light on dash etc ? i bought some off flea bay but only one would work when turned on (both bulbs checked and working when directly connected to battery ) but they where just led bulbs and not can bus ones which i presume they have to be a guess ?. cheers guys
  12. yeah just wondered if anybody else had had this code .. cheers anyway ..
  13. ok so now the scanner is also showing code 07329 in engine diagnostics section any idea what that code relates to guys please ?
