  1. Lovely stuff. Thanks again. I was thinking of getting a tester anyway
  2. Marvellous. Thanks for the replies. It's 2012 and the adjusters work fine. So thanks for the help, I now have a starting place
  3. Hi, I have heated wing mirrors on my mk2 Scout. But only one works. Does anyone know of a quick fix for this? Do they share a fuse or are they separate for example. Any thoughts/experience? Cheers, James
  4. Posted elsewhere, but this is in Gwithian
  5. Had my first minor issue earlier this week whist camping in Cornwall. When I open a window after it has rained I get a mini deluge pouring in, so I've learned to keep them shut. But I hadn't noticed my daughter had opened hers. The rain water soaked the passenger side window switch. It developed a mind of it's own, constantly lowering and raising itself and juddering. I had to wait for it to stay up a second and quickly remove the keys. With a swiss army knife I removed the switch and dried it and held a fan heater over the hole incase any had got to motor. Re fitting the next day I found I could control the window with the driver's side control, but the passenger side was dead. I ordered a replacement switch on Amazon prime for £6.87 so it would arrive for my return. Fitted today all Robert's your father's brother. Sweet 20190809_172352.mp4
  6. Not really a build project, so sorry if this is in the wrong place. Just want to post my day to day updates

  8. I was assuming he meant motorway. Only an issue if you drive at the limit, I tend not to. I avoid idiots that way and save fuel
  9. Not teaching you to suck eggs mate, but I suppose you've considered towing a trailer behind a smaller car?
  10. It's a handsome brute of a car actually. Bit of a shame you have to wait
  11. What did you go for after? I haven't driven either to be honest. I do carry a lot of camping equipment. In my experience I like an estate car because it feels like a "normal" car to drive, but with added practicality. If you like the CMax, you may prefer the Kodiaq because of access, especially with young kids. I find the long space of an estate easier to load safely as opposed to a tall space where you have to stack more. But ultimately your car needs to suit your daily driving needs as well leisure
  12. Shame he's not a regular, he is rather eloquent
  13. Fair play to them. Good old Skoda got them there.
  14. No mate, was just curious, I like hearing about such adventures. I've never driven abroad actually. But we're planning on taking my Fabia to Brittany next year.
