  1. How about compared to the sounds in the videos in this forum post? https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/turbo-whine-of-death-or-paranoia.341434/
  2. These are the other discussions on the energy recovery which could be the whining and fan noise when you set it higher.
  3. Could it be to do with the regenerative braking? Do you find that the cabin fan also gets noisier at that same time?
  4. That sounds pretty much the same as when my bicycle brake rotors touch the pads intermittently due to it not being absolutely aligned.
  5. I got mine as base model + vision pack. Things that put me off the various 'sports' packs were the suspension and wheels, and the armrest that people say get in the way. Everything else I could live without. I think the LED headlights with cornering feature are pretty good. Fog lights not so useful.
  6. I think if you're able to master precisely using a computer mouse scroll wheel, you'll be able to get the hang of the cancel switch position. I use it several times per trip to cancel cruise control without braking and let the car coast. At first I was much more worried about accidentally operating the high beam lights when trying to use the cruise control speed adjustment buttons at the end of the stalk.
  7. Could you use the 'cancel' position of the cruise control/speed limiter switch, rather than switching it all the way to off? That would preserver your set limit.
