  1. Thanks. I suspect my tuning shop guys are only recommending coilovers because they have no experience with the Superb. Their concern was that they could put new shocks in and I’d not be happy - whereas the coilover option allows them to fiddle with height and rebound etc. From my perspective, I definitely don’t want to fiddle after fitting - just want a slightly firmer suspension to cope with dips on A roads without hitting the bump stops.
  2. Thanks @newbie69 Your suggestion to look at dampers chimes with what my tuning guys are saying, except they’re nudging me towards coilovers. Do you have links to the other people talking about the Bilsteins? Are they on a Superb? Cheers.
  3. Hi all. 2019 Superb Estate (non DCC) 272 4x4 here. Have put an H&R rear ARB in already and happy with that. Car is bottoming out on suspension (bumping) when driven fast on swoopy A/B roads, so I’m looking at tightening up the springs. Garage is asking me if I want just springs or coilovers. I’m leaning towards just springs, not just because they cost less, but because I want a set and forget installation. It’s a still a long distance touring car and I just want to dial out some of the bounce, without introducing new problems. Those of you with the Eibach pro kit. You still happy? Wish you’d gone for the super pro? Any other thoughts or tips, having lived with them for a while? Cheers, Ben.
  4. I also held out for Canton. I mix audio professionally, using Genelec monitors most of the time. I also used to be a columnist for Car HiFi magazine. I find the Canton system in my 2019 272 utter sh1te. Shouty, squawking top end that hurts my ears. I literally hate it. One of these days I’ll stick some replacement drivers in there. Also, if it helps, I did have the more spendy Columbus head unit in my previous Superb (before the sunroof exploded 3 months after we bought it) and the slightly cheaper one (Amundsen?) in my new 272. I think the cheaper one is easier to use and has a manual volume knob. I don’t miss the bigger screen of the Columbus. My conclusion - avoid Canton and get the cheaper head unit. See, I just saved you some money! 😁 Ben.
  5. The Canton in my 2019 Superb 272 is utter sh1te. One of these days, I’ll get around to replacing the mid/upper drivers. I haven’t figured out if the “Canton” labelled drivers are handling all of the high end. A brief covering of the stock tweeters doesn’t seem to have any effect, leading me to think they’re not used in the Canton system. Anyone know for sure? Ben.
  6. 2000 or so miles done on mine. Currently enjoying switchbacks in the Alps😁. No issues. Original plastic end thingies.
