  1. Thank you.. I have heard it could be them. still not had time to get it looked at. did you do the repair yourself or a garage?
  2. So my 2009 superb has developed a knocking sound over bumps and uneven roads. now when I turn a corner left or right there is no sound when moving. just putting the question out there before I get it looked at. Could be top mount struts? droplinks? balljoints? any idea before I get it looked at when I’m free? thanks in advance.
  3. Ahhhh I see…I did remove 2 metal pins the gas’s sections moves up a little bit but I still can’t get the black hooks out 😞
  4. So I had a Quick Look… got into the boot via the back seats dead easy! so thanks for the info. so small boot opened fine..closed it and it works via the remote now. reversing lights and fog lights all working. very strange.. I’ve had a go to on the second part of the boot. Removed both bolts and now I’m trying to wiggle the black hook out of each side.. no luck yet 😞 Who repaired it and may I ask how much the repair? thanks
  5. Hi and thank you peter. yes when I looked in the boot you can’t see the cut out, I guess it’s there if you look hard enough. how the good news you say is that the boot locks itself so I could still use the boot if I need to. so can I ask… what did you do to you’re wiring/boot in the end? cheers steve
  6. Thank you so much. yes I believe that is the issue with the wires it’s a common fault on the superb! it’s just when I can get it open I will try have a go and fix it, the guide on here looks so in depth which is great. so how did you open the boot in the end? as I can’t get to the plastic shroud you see. thanks
  7. Just been out to the car..not been moved for 2 days.. tried remote and the boot opened. strange. wonder if it’s not the wires and the micro switch
  8. Just been out to the car… nowhere for my key to go there is no slot which is worrying 😞
  9. there is a fault in the central locking, you can open the boot lid as follows: – Fold the backrest of the rear seat forwards ⇒ page 76. – Guide the key into the slot in the trim panel as far as the stop ⇒ fig. 23. – You can unlock the lid by moving it in the direction of the arrow. – Open the boot lid/luggage compartment door. Emergency unlocking of the boot lid will give it a go now! thanks for the helpful advice 👍👍
  10. Some codes I have found… 01506 - Right rear fog light bulb: Electrical error in circuit 01518 - Left back-up light bulb: Open circuit/short circuit to B+ 01519 - Right back-up light bulb: Open circuit/short circuit to B+ 02394 - Bulb for left front parking light: Open circuit/short circuit to B+ 00896 - Rear lid lock unit: Implausible signal 00950 - Central locking motor: Rear lid, UNLOCK: Short circuit to ground Reset
  11. Hiya folks, Went to open my boot this morning and nothing,no sounds nowt! no im presuming it’s the twin door broken wires mission. i had no reverse/or rear fog lights pop up the other day which I was going to change today but then this… my question is how can I open the boot to attempt the repair as in the guide on the forum? is there an emergency pull/lever? I presume scanning the car won’t bring any faults for the wires too? Thanks in advance. ste
  12. Wow!! If you are sure.. will do now! thanks so much!
  13. Hi how much do you want for it? Beer tokens maybe? Ha
  14. Hiya, do you wanna dm please about it. Cheers ste
