Misfire at idle is normal?
Also if it was glowplug related or even fpr related im sure a code would come up on a scan absolutely nothing there. Car also does this when its fully operating temperature never when it's cold for first 10mins of driving. So don't think it could be glowplug related as it would be doing it when car is cold.

Misfire at idle is normal?
@Ecomatt i have had dpf removed/gutted i started noticing this issue alot more as soon as i removed dpf. Haven't changed glowplugs before car is on 107k now. Spoke with mechanic he said glowplugs don't need changing as you only use them for when starting car when cold and thats it and unlike petrol sparkplugs this wouldn't be the issue. Do you not think it could be fuel pressure regulator? As when the fuel pressure drops thats when it has a funny idle if you blip throttle its fine and runs fine when driving and sometimes when you come to a stop on idle its perfect sometimes it's not.

Misfire at idle is normal?
@the_slug Did you find out what it is? I'm experiencing exact same but on the vrs diesel 2014. I have had a look at fuel pressure the fuel pressure drops when it starts to rough idle. If you blip the throttle it goes fine blip again it will start rough idling again. I have been experiencing this for a year now but it is starting to get worse noticed also when it rains it does it worse more often than dry. No fault codes spoken to a few specialists they are saying could be fuel pressure regulator haven't yet changed them will do soon and see how that goes.

Pcv valve / ccv valve
Hi, My car has had high oil consumption for sometime. Never really looked in to it too much was consuming 1litre 1800miles now 1 litre every 700-1000 miles. I was looking for another problem on my car and i came across this which i am thinking is a pcv/ccv valve. Seems like theres oil all over the top of the engine where the fuel injectors are think this could be the cause of my high oil consumption. Anyone experienced similar also could somebody confirm this is a pcv/ccv valve if so whats the part number. My car is a octavia vrs 2014 2.0tdi engine code: cupa. Any help will be much appreciated thanks.

Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0TDI (CUPA EA288) high oil consumption
Is this a pcv/ccv valve? Can see oil around it and all over top of engine near fuel injectors. Have had high oil consumption for a while.

Octavia vRS Diesel oil consumption
I have read high oil consumption could be due to a faulty pcv valve stuck open/close. I am having symptoms of stuck open pcv along with high oil consumption. Symptoms i am having rough engine idle, hard to start and high oil consumption. If my car 2014 Skoda Octavia vrs 2.0tdi has a pcv wonder if this is cause (read online some newer cars don't have pcv) Symptoms of a Stuck Closed PCV Valve or System Increase in internal engine pressure Failure of one or more oil seals or gaskets Engine oil leaks Low whistling or moaning noise Moisture and sludge buildup inside the engine Engine surges MAF sensor trouble code P0171 or P0174 trouble codes 02 sensor trouble codes If the PCV valve gets stuck open, or a system hose gets disconnected or ruptured—producing a vacuum leak—you'll notice one or more of these symptoms. Symptoms of a Stuck Open PCV Valve Engine misfires at idle Lean air-fuel mixture Presence of engine oil in PCV valve or hose Increased oil consumption Hard engine start Rough engine idle Possibly black smoke Oil fouled spark plugs

Octavia vRS Diesel oil consumption
Why would car use alot of oil using castrol and other brands are fine @Ecomatt using quantum and @nidza using mobil 1 im sure castrol is supposed to be best oil out there? And all will be same thickness 5w30. Don't see any logic sense in how brands can be any different.

Octavia vRS Diesel oil consumption
@Roottoot my car is not a cupra i wrote cupa vrs cupa is the engine code you can get cupa and cuna engines in the gtd and vrs same engine. @Towelie i think gtd are cuna engines and also the later models vrs are cuna find out your engine code.

Octavia vRS Diesel oil consumption
Learned to live with it mines a 2014 cupa vrs what engine code is yours? I put a litre every 1000-1200 miles. Can't figure out why this is everyone with cupa engines complain about oil consumption. If you figure it out let us know.
