  1. I've put the new battery on charge, started at 12.8v and 1 bar and quickly increased to 13.2v and 2 bars. So I will leave it going until its fully charged. I can fit the battery myself, thats okay, but coding is the problem. I have a ELM 327 OBD11 interface, but I am unsure about whether it will allow data entry or just read the data or not.
  2. Ringwood. Battery arrives today, but its not an urgent request, the old one is still working at the moment. If you can help, thank you.
  3. Hi everyone. I am situated in the New Forest and I was wondering if there was any kind soul might help with battery coding. The battery on my Fabia 3 (2016) needs changing, its been complaining about it for some time, the last service I had said the battery was weak. So I have now got a Bosche 72ah AGM battery, but no way of changing the information on the computer. The number of videos I've watched makes it look so straight forward, if I had a VCDS or other tool to do the job. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. I have a 2016 1.2 TSi SE 110 bhp and its been very reliable, fuel consumption is good, very responsive. Keep it regularly serviced and it should be good for many years to come.
  5. If the mass of the car hasn't changed, then why would it require different braking components? A remap increases the performance, it changes nothing else. 🤷‍♀️
  6. I had clunking like that and it turned out to be worn suspension bushes. Heck of a noise going over bumps,
  7. I have exactly the same issue in my 2016 Fabia estate. Fitted a new antenna, seemed to help, now nothing unless I am in a very strong signal area, then it vanishes. Worked great a mile from the Wenvoe transmitter in Cardiff ......probably the metal fillings in my teeth might pick up stray signals there. 😂
  8. The frustrating instrument cluster display on my car is mind bogingly complicated. It was showing the digital MPH until I reset the trip meter............then it was replaced with the average MPH, and now thats disappeared too. How do I change these menus, I can't find any method that works. I do have aa switch on the end of the indicator stalk, but that cooers to do nothing.
  9. Had mine for two years, same model, and the sound levels are average. I had a1.6 TDI before this one and both cars were fairly quiet. Definitely no throaty sound.

  13. Frustratingly I have tried several fixes for my DAB signal loss. I did fit a camera front and rear but it all worked okay afterwards. Even so, every power line associated with it has been also fitted with ceramic cores. When the DAB started to drop out it faded gradually until it was like a covid mask had been put on the signal and it disappeared completely. So I removed the camera....made no difference, and so I decided that it must be the aerial thats at fault. I then fitted a tried and tested screen aerial that I usedd before on several different cars I've owned, and magically the DAB came into life....but the performance isn't that good on this car. So I have now bought a replacement aerial, genuine one, 6C0 035 501 A 5FQ but looking at video's of different repair guides of polo's and earlier fabias the aerials are all bolted to the roof and the roof lining has a plastic bracket to be removed first. Mine doesn't on either count. Has anyone got any suggestions, or experience on replacing these aerials? Thanks for reading and possibly helping
  14. I had the exact same issue with my DAB radio. Its probably the antenna. The one that you have is a stock VAG amplified type and they suffer greatly from water seeping into them and it will need replacing. I have replaced mine with a screen antenna, not a difficult job and immediately the DAB radio worked. Hope that helps, of course you could always replace the stock antenna with another one, apparently the job isn't difficult and anyone out there that done this might be able to help with details. If you do replace the antenna with another and you need access to the control unit, the glove box will have to come off and passenger airbag disconnected. TIP: Once the box is off and the airbag disconnected do not turn on the ignition without reconnecting the airbag or you will have a fault emerge that needs to turned off with an OBD2 reader. Natalie
