  1. I've done quite a lot of reading and your comments support the theiry that the driving modes (and coasting) only exist in MK2 cars with DCC, which is the Sportline and above, and NOT on SEL unless DCC was added as an option. Shame as the driving modes have their uses and coasting can assist with economy.
  2. Thanks. I put Saturdays down as a one off and perhaps weather related (that was for a couple of minutes), but this morning was a bit too soon after the first in near perfect driving conditions with a clear screen and no debris (leaves etc), but only lasted for sexonds. So will see. Hopefully it's just a hiccup. Otherwise I really like the car.
  3. So...... Saturday evening - got in the car and drove off, 2mins into the journey the front assist warning popped up followed shortly by the light assist. Errors persisted for a couple of mins with the 'assist sytem' warning symbol on the dash, but both then cleared on their own. I put it down to a possible glitch or maybe leaf. Weather had been damp and rainy but had been dry for aorund 2 hours This morning, driving in dry bright conditions, both again popped up but only in the centre of the VC's rev counter, and no other error (no assist system warning). Probably not linked but a couple of times Android Auto has crashed and restarted. Anyone with similar experience? The car still drives fine but the distraction when they pop up is off putting and concerning.
  4. I also have an SEL; 2.0tsi, MK2 two weeks old. It doesn't coast and having done a lot of reading of the user manual I cannot see any reference to it for the engine and spec, and therefore suspect that it doesn't. Previous 2.0tdi Sportline, MK1, did coast.
  5. Hi, I can't answer the question but I interested in the response, particularly the coasting, as I picked up a new 2.0tsi SEL this week. I suspect the answer will be that it can't be turned on, but we'll see. In my previous MK1 2022 Sportline it was linked to the driving modes (not selectable from what I can see, in the SEL) and also the battery charge level; if the battery level was too low it won't coast as it wants the power to charge.
  6. Great. Thank you. Mine should be delivered tomorrow. I ordered from Kopacek; around £50 delivered for all 4. I get the new Mk2 on Thursday and will be fitting asap after (unless I can pursuade the dealer to fit before I collect).
  7. Thank you. The ones I'm looking at are Skoda original and appear to have the instructions
  8. Is anyone had experience of fitting mug flaps to the Mk2 kodiak? I'm intending to purchase from Kopacek as they are a third of the price, delivered, than buying in the UK (£50 including shipping from both front and back). From what I can see it's just a case of removing a few bolts, inserting the flaps and bolting on. Fitting due to towing a caravan and wanting to reduce the splashback. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
  9. I've got a MK1 2022 Sportline and changing to MK2 SEL. I'm using Thule 118 bars with he Mk 1 (which were one of the two recommended sizes (118 &127), but have now seen that the MK2 size is supposed to be 127. Does anyone know if the 118 will fit (with the appropriate 710600 foot pack)? Or what the distances between the roof rails are on MK2? Thanks
  10. As GreenlineIIEstate has said ACC is not standard on the SEL in the UK. I'm currently finalising an order for one. It can be added as a pack during ordering (before it is accepted by the factory) this is as the Driver Assistance Package, for £830, which includes Lane Assist Plus, or can be purchased as a standalone for £655 from the shop post delivery. My understanding of the 'shop' is that this is through the Skoda connect app. Then into more and then into service overview. There you can find functions on demand.
  11. Thank you for taking the time to reply. The figures are useful for normal driving and sound about the same as me.
  12. Any views on towing a caravan with a 2.0tsi 2025 (SEL)? I've currently got a 2022 2.0tdi 200 Sportline but looking at the 2.0tsi as a tow car for a Bailey Unicorn Vigo 1500kg fully loaded. I've had TDI Kodiaqs for 7years but only do around 11-12k a year and mostly short journeys for commute to work of 12miles. I'd also be interested in real world mpg and also towing. I only get around 24mpg when towing with the TDI, but I am quite heavy footed
  13. Is there an easy way of obtaining accurate service and maintenance intervals for my 2022 2.0tdi 200 Sportline 4x4 DSG? It's particularly relating to the Haldex at the moment. My previous 2.0tdi was, I believe, every 30k miles, but dealer is now saying 2years for the current one (having not told me that before and it now being 3yrs old). It's booked in for the oil change, and yes I know they won't clean the filter/sieve, but I want to confirm the correct intervals for warranty etc.
  14. Hopefully that makes sense. Basically the spare tyre etc are all uncovered. It looks like the same fixing points for the lower floor are in place (hikes in the metal cross bar at the back). My dealer (Wings Skoda, Peterborough) appear to be selling that part for £88+10 delivery on eBay. Better than the headline price.
  15. No lower boot floor I'm the 7 seat 2022 Sportline which was in my 2018 Edition. That was handy in keeping things clear of the spare tyre and also hiding things in the tyre well
  16. Yogi-bear Nobody has said that the original offer expires (other than @SurreyJohn. I signed on 10 November and that is the deal that the dealer has stuck to despite my old Kodiaq (on PCP) having dropped around £3k since signing. Anyway after a bit of a stutter by VW finance again today they eventually came through and I picked it up this evening. So far I'm impressed and the build quality send better than the old 2018 Edition.
  17. When the dealer's submit the signed finance agreements they go through either as normal or priority. As it was short notice and the car was ready to go it was put through to VW finance asking them to prioritise it. The problem being that they have a lot that have been out through as priority so those are being dealt with in a first come first served basis and they don't work after lunchtime on a Saturday and closed Sunday, despite saying it would be dealt with Saturday am.
  18. With respect, am NOT bending the truth as the dealer only sent the paperwork to me this week for signing, there was a discrepancy, it was corrected , I signed it. Then it joined the queue. The dealer put it through as priority, chased by phone Friday afternoon , then Saturday morning, then VW finance shut at 12 with it not having been approved because they hadn't got to it. So don't accuse people of 'bending the truth' when you don't know the facts. Quote
  19. With respect, actually no, no respect, I am NOT bending the truth as the dealer only sent the paperwork to me this week for signing, there was a discrepancy, it was corrected , I signed it. Then it joined the queue. The dealer put it through as priority, chased by phone Friday afternoon , then Saturday morning, then VW finance shut at 12 with it not having been approved because they hadn't got to it. 20. Congratulations on your delivery. My Sportline is sat in the showroom wiating for VW finance to sign off , much to the frustration of me and the dealership! We've been ready to collect since Friday afternoon but it seems that VW finance can't cope with demand even though it's been pushed through as priority and chased up by the dealership. Frustrating but it's close!
  21. I'm in your camp. My 4 yr 3month old, 50k miles Kodiaq had a balloon payment of about £15k due When I signed the deal in November they gave me around £11k of equity to put against the new car and a PCP discount and dealer 'deal' on the new car which zeroes the mileage and gave me a new car to drive around in. In the mean time the car has dropped slightly in value. I don't see a downside and I'm picking up the new one Friday!
  22. Call from the dealer today: car is due there next Wednesday and collect Friday (ordered 10/11/21). Fingers crossed.
  23. This could also be affected by the apps power/battery settings (cettianly in Android anyway). I had a similar problem with another app which was set to 'optimised' and did not update correctly unless I manually intervened until I changed it to 'unrestricted'. This could also be made worse if power saving is turned on. Just a thought.
