  1. At the end I bought an OEM camera from AiDU. This is the one that fits in my Superb: https://a.aliexpress.com/_v1kiDk (It is equivalent to the type B camera of the plug and play version)
  2. Thanks for your swift answers! @langers2k, I will probably follow your lead. By the way, how do you know that the part sold by AiDU are OEM? It is not specified in the description (aside of the statement that they are one of the biggest VW dealer in China) This evening I will check the detailed prices (since July, VAT is mandarory for all AliExpress purchases in Spain) and I will place the order.
  3. Hello guys! I am going to do this retrofit, but now I have to choose between the two options presented in the first 2 messages of this topic. Any recommendations? The "Chinese plug and play" option costs around 45€, the other one, also from Ali (AiDU AUTO), around 70€ + VAS6350 (which I will probably print ~5-10€). Is worthy to pay for the 2nd option? Is there any real advantage? Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks for the clarification!! You will be laughing for a while when I say it, but here we go.. All the times I read "washer", a round metallic part came to my mind, so I could not understand what a washer had to do with all this.. I think my mind was just omitting "jet" part as I have strongly associated "washer" to the "hardware" part that is normally placed between the nut and the bolt (I worked as a mechanical designer in the past).
  5. Thanks for that link! Very helpful. I have one additional doubt.. What exactly is the "famous" washer?
  6. Hi everyone! First of all, I apologize in advance for possible grammatical mistakes (I am from Spain and English is not my mother tongue). I am new in posting here, but I have read a lot of threads from this and other forums about this topic. Nevertheless, I still have some doubts, overall related to the compatibility. The mechanical installation does not look difficult, but the SW seems quiete big deal. I have an OBD11 (PRO version) for "light codding" and I do not mind to buy a VAS 5054a, as it seems mandatory for ACC and VC retrofits. I own a Skoda Superb III MY18 (hatchback) 2.0TDI DSG7 Ambition. Until today, I thought I had a Columbus multimedia device, but checking the PN I realized it is an Amundsen MY18 (5Q0035864C) with a 8" screen with "full touch" display (no physical buttons). So, now I am very lost in terms of compatibility. I would like to install an original "high" version of the rear camera, but I am not sure which PN is compatible with my car. I asked my dealer and they said that my multimedia system does not support any camera. I refuse to believe that. Could someone help me with this topic? Do I need any kind of adapters? Can the codding be done using OBD11? In the future (when the warranty expires), I would like to install ACC and VC, but it is not important so far. Thanks in advance!
  7. Hello everybody! My nick name "Klack" and I'm from Spain. I am an owner of a Skoda Superb III (MY 18) DSG7 Ambition manufactured in January 2019. I have already read a lot of topics of this forum, but I never posted so far. Here is a great community and I would love be part of it.
