Hi today I’ve just fitted new rear discs and pads and I used TRW. They look to be good quality better than the last set of rear pads which were Bosch. cheers

Hi I didn’t bother with the heated seats as I would have needed to change the BCM for a high one and I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle and the cost for the new bcm, programming it and the new heater control panel. For the seat airbag wiring if you unplug your seat from where it goes through the carpet then remove the seat. Once removed follow the wire to the base of the seat and you will find another plug. Remove this short length and transfer it to the Audi seats then you’ll be good to go. cheers

Hi I’ve just done this yesterday with a set of half leather seats out of a 3dr A3. All went smoothly and I only had to swap over the small wiring loom from the Skoda seats to the Audi seats for the seat belt indication. they are also heated so that’s my next project to look into getting them working. Just need to give them a good clean. My wife thinks they make the car go faster 😳😂

I can also confirm that the VW Data plugs work as I have just set up a spare one which my daughter got with her VW Up

Hi Guys thanks for the welcome 🖐️ Today I’ve fitted an automatic dimming interior rear view mirror and fitted a rain and light sensor so I just need to run a wire from the new light switch and get the auto lights coded. Ive also just ordered a 3 spoke steering wheel with the multi function switches on it. I made a cheeky offer on eBay for it and the seller accepted. Not sure if I can get the switches working but I’ll give it a try. Cheers Graeme

Hi I’ve been a lurker for a while. I’ve just changed from a mk2 Octavia elegance 54reg which had been my dads from new and I had it the last 3 years. Both my wife and myself was impressed by it that when we changed it had to be another Octavia, so we managed to find a 2015 Black Edition with low miles and good condition. But we miss some of the spec from the elegance so I’ve already started sourcing parts for the auto lights/wipers and auto dimming interior mirror. Will be fitting the parts over the next few days and then will need to see about getting it coded. I will see if there is anyone local who can help me with the coding just now but I will be looking at getting VCDS at some point as we have 4 VAG cars in the family now. I stay in Falkirk Central Scotland. cheers Graeme
