Karoqs LED Lights
It is my Scout and I just replaced the bulbs with these indicators https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-T15-W16W-20-SMD-3030-Error-Free-Canbus-LED-Car-Reverse-Back-Light-Bulbs-Amber/303702470002?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 and for reversing lamps something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T15-W16W-Reverse-921-Led-Car-Bulbs-Xenon-White-Canbus-Error-Free-Parking-Light/372732385979?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D225114%26meid%3Df9f5d1debcda466c906e273701ad2260%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D392573632880%26itm%3D372732385979%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithDarwoV3BBEV2b&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 I doubt Skoda dealers will stock LED`s as they would have to adhere to OE parts.

BUILDUPS OF DIRT INSIDE REAR DOORS
I used similar to this its self adhesive so you just stick it alongside the original seal its quite soft so fills any gaps easily. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4M-Car-Door-D-Shape-Seal-Strip-Edge-Protectors-Weatherstrip-Rubber-Sealing-Trims/303661090288?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I haven`t cleaned inside the door for several weeks and have been on some mucky wet roads but you can see the dirt on the first seal but not much has got past the new piece of seal

Karoqs LED Lights
Skoda Karoq Scout has just moved into the 21st Century - the reversing light bulbs and rear indicators now LED`s and it looks so much sharper and better for it. Well worth the change.

Missing the rechargeable torch??
A lot of people don`t realise that unless you buy built to order your "new" Karoq may have been in stock for several months.

Karoqs LED Lights
I don`t know if its the case with a Karoq but you have to be careful when replacing tungsten filament bulbs with LED`s in this case replacing the rear indicator "bulbs" does not appear to register a Canbus fault but what happens with the indicator warning light the indicator relay usually hyperflashes if a "bulb" fails as a warning which shows on the warning light - does that still happen if you replace the "bulb" with a LED?

Missing the rechargeable torch??
I prefer to think of it as penny pinching!

Karoqs LED Lights
Having been impressed with the quality of the LED headlights, sidelights, indicators and mirror repeaters, day running lights, interior LED lighting including mood lighting in my "Scout" I have only just noticed the crummy rear indicator and reversing light "tungsten filament bulbs" they have fitted, they were the only available bulbs for 40 years in cars until LEDs. Not fitting LEDs all round on a £30k plus vehicle is just penny pinching at its best!

BUILDUPS OF DIRT INSIDE REAR DOORS
I added some extra "D" section rubber seal to run parallel with the existing seal on the door edge as the original seal just doesn`t seal completely against the arch to stop the wheel arch dirt being blasted through into the door. A very poor design by Skoda at this point as they may have designated that part of the door a wet area but wet dirt and grit is a wonderful abrasive medium to gradually wear paint away. I also own an RX-8 and on early versions a similar problem arose where the back door seals met the sill, wet dirt and grit was getting past the lower door seal then soon wearing the paint away - result rusty sills, Mazda redesigned the seals.

Difference between oil and inspection Service ?
What is with this "National price servicing" statement - My first oil service was due and locally I was quoted £184 (Birmingham) and then £146 from the supplying dealer reduced to £112 when I questioned that was quoted on their website ( £112 amount now removed)

Recall - Sunroof
It seems some drain tubes may not have been fitted correctly - mine was OK.

Recall - Sunroof
Just taken mine in for service to be informed that there is a recall for the sunroof for the drain holes -presumably that there are some if so that they are not blocked.

Much better without the SKODA but you do realise from the back it will then probably be mistaken for a Vauxhall Grandaddyland.

A very nice looking Karoq and that Blue takes it up another step and with 190PS it should be quite nippy with it. Nice one!

Oil service at only 3500 miles
Mine is just on 2,500 miles and is due its first "oil" service at the end of the month, the supplying dealer states £146 and another local Skoda dealer £184. For 4.7 litre of oil and a filter plus labour!

Karoq pictures
I bought mine last November the dealer had two identical Scouts one with extras which I had, the price was amazing I did try haggling but they wouldn`t go any lower still never look a gift horse! I already had a Kuga and I wanted another but to get the spec of the Scout would have pushed the price of the Kuga into the atmosphere and now I actually think the Karoq is better in all respects. I made a good choice.

My nice Quartz Grey Scout, it wasn`t my first choice of colour but @ £24,500 with heated screen and steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, pre-registered with delivery mileage and 2 years extra warranty I wasn`t going to argue.

Ahh! but the owner can drive around saying : "My Magnetic Brown TORNADO DELUXE AUTO - MATIC with exclusively fitted rear end custom Chrome trim may look a bit naff but it is a one off, not another one like it anywhere!" Fortunately!

Brand new Karoq with condensation in the lights
Tried a search but couldn`t find anything as my Karoq taken delivery of on Friday has misted up LED headlights and fog lights have just been out for about 3/4 of and hour with lights on but still misted up surely that cannot be right are they faulty as Halogen bulbs or HID`s in the headlights would heat up and burn the condensation off but LED `s do not get hot and certainly the fogs will not clear until used. Not a cheap car so not at all impressed with my new Skoda!
