  1. I’ve been running Michelin Cross Climate SUV Tyres on 19” wheels since last summer. Far better than the factory fitted summer Bridgestone’s in every way. Aside from the obvious benefits, I’ve found there is a lot less road noise at speed and even a slight improvement in ride.
  2. It's such a stupid problem this. I'm glad to say the fix on mine seems to have worked and I've had no further issues. I don't know if it is a known fault with Skoda UK as such, but my dealer offered no resistance after I proved it was happening- and I get the impression that particular dealer is rather strict in regard to warranty work. The BluTack trick suggested by @RCC49 above does the job well as proof. Suggest the mechanics do the test drive over suburban roads with speed bumps. Two miles was more than enough to prove there was a problem. I drove from London to the Highlands last summer and long motorway driving really did make me think it was me going mad. It moved back so subtlety I only noticed each time I got back in after stopping at the services.
  3. In case anyone else is still having this problem- I finally got my seat sorted under warranty. The entire seat frame had to be replaced. This is a three day repair as it involves having your existing seat sent to a specialist trimmer to remove the leather 'skin' and fit it to the new frame. However, the problem has been solved. If it's happening to your car, don't be fobbed off with 'they all do that' as they clearly shouldn't . The dealer I used was Motorline in Dartford, Kent. So maybe ask your dealer to speak to them if they doubt your complaint.
  4. Hello. No worries. Thank you anyway. Not resolved yet, but the dealer has acknowledged the problem- which is a good start! The car is booked in again in the new year for three days for the seat frame and mechanism to be completely replaced. So I'll have to wait and see.
  5. I've only 3500 miles on mine and 5 months old. Thanks RCC49. I also thought I was going mad, but the problem has been getting more frequent! I finally aligned up the setback and turn knob with tape today and mine is almost a quarter turn out of position after a few miles of urban (speed bump) driving. It's ridiculous. I've previously had three Ford Focus's with the same type of recline mechanism and never had an issue. I'm booked into my local dealer on the 10th. Would you be able to let me know what your dealer did to resolve it?
