I changed my seat mat myself. No special tools required.
Remove seat, work your way around the cover then with 2 pairs of plyers, open the upholstery clips. Fit new mat, and put back together. 1 hour for the base mat start to finish.
But I agree. Takes a fair time to get hot.

90% sure its gonna be cam and crank correlation. Get timing checked.
Normally see this when someone does a cambelt (badly)

Just an update, after checking wiring thoroughly and measured voltages, fault found within drivers base heat mat.
Replaced with genuine skoda part, all good. Easier job than I expected.

Do you have a part number? Just spoke again with tps, they said again "no filter"

I spoke with tps, my 62 regarding superb doesn't have a filter. I'm going take the pump out and inspect it anyway.

So, I have done the cambelt, but that was after the vibration issue. So rule that one out. My vibration is not ending speed related its more load or torque related.
No, I didn't replace the rubber joints, but tried a complete new prop, which had no difference.

Got vcds, no faults store or current.

The haldex had an oil change recently by myself, no history in service book of previous maintenance regarding haldex, same with rear diff.

Yes, fwd, puts the traction and tpms light on. But no vibration.

HI, hope you can help.
I have a 2012 superb 4x4 170cr which has developed a vibration which is noticeable when travelling at 70mph under load.
The vibration feels like its coming through the chassis as if its under the middle of the car.
As soon as I remove the haldex fuse it goes.
I suspected propshaft imbalance, tried a different one. No different.
Any ideas?

Did anyone get to the bottom of this?? I have a similar problem.
My 2012 cr170 4x4 does exactly the same, but only since transferbox issues, bought a good used box and prop (old one damaged when transfer shat itself).
Pull the haldex fuse and drives perfect.
Any advice appreciated.

Read live data when the hesitation occurs. And any faults stored.

Check vacuum hose to turbo actuator and make sure act diaphram not leaking.
Check for boost leaks.
As long as you are sure it's not a software issue.

Who carried out the remap?
Was it ok before the remap?
Ask your mapper to return it to stock see it ok.
Seen it many times before where mappers miss a torque limiter causing problems like this.

The key drive connects the oil pump to the balance shaft unit in the sump. The key drive wears slowly. When it has worn enough, you lose the drive causing the oil pump to stop.
The first thing to happen will be the turbo will fail, then you'll get a "low oil pressure ". By then it's too late.

I've recently bought a high mileage superb with the CFGB Engine code. Now, I've had experience in the past with the oil pump key drive on a seat exeo.
Although all the reports state that this engine code doesn't suffer with this problem. I thought I'd go safe. So after 195000 miles my key was like this. I'd recommend ANY tdi with the balance shaft keyway, change it!!
2 hour job, £100 incl oil and filter.

Yes, seat needs to come out. Only 4 bolts and 1 multi plug.
