  1. Does anyone know at what temperature does the thermostat open and radiator cooling fan turn on?
  2. Hello everyone, My FL MK2 is running xenon headlamps but had an accident and needs to replace them but new prices are crazy and have been hunting for a used set for weeks now with no luck. I know the FL MK2 ran halogen or xenon headlamps depending on which country. Numerous websites offer services to fit xenon projectors on halogen headlamps or convertors from halogen harnesses to plug into factory xenon headlamps. Halogen headlamp connectors have 10pins and xenon has 11pins I see used halogen headlamps being sold online but have zero luck finding used xenon headlamps. So my question is, has anyone seen, fitted or modified halogen headlamps to connect to the factory xenon harness?

  5. You can change to Android headunit?
  6. We look at the connectors and all look okay. My thoughts is it could be a coding issue?
  7. I have a 2009 Octavia MK2 VRS FL and six months ago, i had a gearbox failure. Workshop determine the best course of action would be to get a used replacement gearbox which i did. The replacement DSG6 gearbox was off a Skoda Superb. No issues with the installation and adapting the gearbox to the car. It was fine for about a month and then i got a flashing D error on the dash when i was slowing down to a traffic junction. Car felt like it was in first gear only and i was able to limp to the side and when i turn off the car and restarted. The error when away and i was able to drive normally. The workshop felt it was the mechatronic unit and replace it . It was fine for another week before i got the same flashing D error again and this time workshop replace it again under warranty. This time round, it was fine for couple of weeks before i encounter the flashing D error again and this time round, workshop thought it can't be 3 different mechatronic were faulty. When we scan the car, there errors : Lost communication with TCM - U0101 , Transm.Contr.System Range/ - P0701. We suspected the ECU which we remove and send it off for diagnosis but it came back a clean bill of health. we also replace the canbus gateway and i drove for a week before the flashing D error came back but this time only error was P0701. Has anyone else encounter similar issue or can point me in a direction of what could be the issue causing this?
  8. Hi, I am encountering samilar issue on my Mk2 VRS, randomly I will get check coolant warning on my dash and sometimes withouy turning off my engine, I will lift the bonnet to check and the level is at high mark. Most sites I check say to change the coolant tank which I have done twice but still get the same check coolant warning. Water pump, radiator is new so I don't think there is any leak there and coolant level does not drop so I don't think there is a leak on the coolant tank. Any ideas?
  9. I am running MCA coilovers with Whiteline front & Rear ARB. I had the coilover professional setup for corner weight, height and damping so the car handles great now
