AC not working - no pressure
Hi All AC has stopped working in my Kodiaq. Got KwikFit to do a free check during a tyre fitting and they confirmed there is no pressure in the system. Just wondering what to do next as never had an issue like this AC before. Is it best to go to the dealer or an AC Specialist ? Or will any garage do ? Thoughts? I am in the Warrington area if anyone has a recommendation :D Cheers

Battery change EFB or EFB+?
I got fault codes. Moving the sterring left to right and driving a bit is the usal way to clear them. Everything is working ok - ACC, Blind Spot lights and so on. Cheers though, will keep my eye out.

Battery change EFB or EFB+?
@linni I will keep an eye on it but I did a check the other day and it all seemed fine.... https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/535293-new-battery-time/page/2/#findComment-5983733 Coding doesn't come for free so reluctant to do it unless I spot an issue.

Battery change EFB or EFB+?
Did you recode it @Marko72 - sounds like you should have done @linni I think recoded if its the same spec battery becomes optional. The model / producer will only be for "show" ?

New battery time?

Battery change EFB or EFB+?
My battery is same, almost, but its a Exide. Here is mine with the logo on it - 2020 I got the car. I swapped it out today (5+ years old) for this which I believe is pretty much the like for like options. It has a higher CCA at 760 but thats only positive. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/277000251108?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11401.m144671.l197929&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=c084fd95db534e97a7e5f31b6cc1969b&bu=43060722950&exe=0&ext=0&osub=-1%7E1&crd=20251208114245&segname=11401 Took me 30 mins to install. Bit tricky because of the bracket that keeps in place is hard to fish out. Do you have to recode the car if you going from 70ah to 75ah ? Thats what put me off the Yuasa and made me go for the Exide. Might work but it will be hurting the health of the battery if I am right ?

New battery time?
Installed new battery today - pretty much like for like.... Exide EL700 Not the easiest battery to install. The Kodiaq has a very annoying bracket you need some form of hook to move. All good now . Will let you know if the horn / acc issue ever returns!

New battery time?
So I tested my battery this morning and it told me what I thought I would see.... VOL = 12.39 SOC = 65% SOH = 53% That is certainly a battery that is past its best I think it has to be dead before you get a "Poor" indication. So this matches up with the theory that as poor battery is going to cause you issues with ACC and HORN. So I will replace it soon and will let you know if I ever see this issue after changing the battery.

Mutimeter only tells you part of the story. Need to check the state of charge & health to get the batterys health. Your car might start up but that dosen't mean the battery is healthy and then you start to see issues like this is my understanding. KINGBOLEN BM550 is the sort of thing you need to test properly.

No issues with wipers... Did you change the battery ?

New battery time?
The more I think about it we was messing around with the USB socket / device on our way down to the Birmingham. I wanted to charge my phone so plugged in to charge and use AA, and then we decided to plug the AA Wirelss back in.... ACC was working fine all the way down, and it was parked up for hours before we saw the issue but who knows if that caused something ... So maybe it is AA... or the USB socket itself that has something of an issue. hmmm - food for thought

You said this without much context -> "My horn and ACC are also fine, when the car is turned off...." This is what caused the direction of travel. I see what you are saying about the AAWireless resolved it for you and we are just trying to understand how that might be an issue and nothing seems obvious. Maybe its creating a temproary short and when you powercycle the car it resolves. There is strong theory its the battery though. I get my battery tester on Thursday and will see what the health of it is. I could remove the the AAWireless but its too useful Did you swap out the battery at any point ?

Horn should work when car is unlocked. Power is delivered on unlocking. When I lock my car the anrdoid auto device does power off. When I ulock it powers up. Thats how the USB socket is suupose to work.

New battery time?
Yes I do and I was wondering if it was playing a part as its the only external thing plugged in but as @imart143 says the USB socket should be dead after you lock the car so hard to see it being that. Mine does work well and it operates fine. So I would be surprised if it was that.

Actually on second thoughts going to order a battery tester to do it myself.

I have this problem as well. It happened back in March during the MOT but suddenly came back to life. This was at the Skoda Dealership. Didn't think much of it until Sunday. Drove 90 miles to Birmingham, parked up for the day and then when heading back in the evening no horn and ACC was not working. The issue is linked for sure. We decided to pull over at services and power cycle the car and everything came back. Obviously here looking for answers and surprised I am not the only one. Another site has a lot of Kodiaq owners saying its the battery and after replacing they had no issue. So thinking of getting it checked at KwikFit - free battery check and the local one is fairly decent. I bought in 2020 so its in the windows where the battery potentially needs replacing.
