I swapped our1.2 elegance for a vitari sz-t 1.0 about 4 months ago .So far so good yes the boot is smaller but seems to have more usable space, the yeti had more gizmos than the vitari I don't miss them The vitari to me is a lot easier to drive better visibility and the torquey engine means fewer gear changes. The ride is a bit more unsettled than the yeti and build quality not as good but overall a good swap from a good car. Back to post.WBAC are quoting roughly the same price I paid for the vitari.Local dealers are quoting good prices for used cars it all comes down to supply and demand.I think the only way you can win would be sell your car now and buy next spring.

Recently changed our car.Dealer offered me same price as WBAC. unseen price said he couldn't offer anymore but reduced price of car I was changing to and threw in a few bits.Overall it was the price difference I was interested in.Dealer said there was a problem obtaining new cars so good sh.Cars were at a premium .No doubt prices will eventually balance out.

I have replaced our 2015 1.2 tsi elegance with 28000 on the clock for a 2019 1.0 stzt Suzuki vitari with 4000 miles on the clock. So far so good mpg figures seem to be a lot better 50 mpg on a long run 40 local running. The 1.0 boosterjet is a peach stacks of low down torque pulls away smoothly in a high gear.luggage capacity nearly as good as the yeti. The infotainment system is more Fischer price than IBM but ok to use.Build quality is not as good as the yeti ,no rattles. The yeti has been totally reliable I just fancied a change. Many thanks too the forum contributers . Cars have certainly changed since I started driving I started of with a 1939 rover 12 with a crash gearbox and rod brakes. Thanks again to all contributers.

Thought about changing our yeti looked on wbac.website value of our yeti 2015 1.2 tsi.with low mileage £8000.3 weeks later was emailed by wbac and given an increased value of £8500.It makes a change to have a car that appreciates in value. What bets if I went along to my local wbac depot I would get no where near price qouted.
  5. My third yeti a 2015 1.2 tsi elegance would normally be over its replacement date. But can't find anything better The boot takes a dog crate and fishing tackle all in a compact vehicle. If I feel like a change I go for a a spin in the wife's Suzuki alto. Yeti runs like a Rolls Royce in comparison.

I appreciate that vcds is a useful tool.in the right hands but from a layman's point of view would an obd reader not be as useful and would give an error code showing which speed sensor was faulty without bringing up other spurious faults . I am thinking about purchasing an obd reader any advice on this would be appreciated

Yes same fault codes other than optical parking my yeti does not have this.

Had the same fault codes up.replaced battery still the same.My local independent soon diagnosed the fault as a faulty wheel speed sensor ,sensor replaced at approx £100 all ok
  9. I agree with the previous posts ,what I do which is not a cure but certainly helps is to use my window vac which removes condensation at a stroke its also great for cleaning car windows a job I hate
  10. Just had 4 Goodyear eff.grips fitted at a cost of £348 this price included a £50 gift voucher at my local high q centre. They cost of fitting 4 Goodyear all season's would have been £434 again including a £50 gift voucher seemed like a good deal.
