  1. Thanks for that. I will try that and see if it gets rid of the warning. It's going in next Saturday for a recalibration and MOT. Have confirmed with the testing center that the fault is just an advisory.
  2. Ah okay. That won't work then. Not much you can do then.
  3. Buy an old portable CD player and connect the headphone jack to the aux in on the car.
  4. So I had a look at this. There appears to be 3 torx screws that hold this in place. 1 at the top left hand side and two at the bottom. There is a lot of movement in the top screw, where I can move the sensor forward and back about a quarter inch. I assume that is not normal? Also if any body could answer my question about this warning light being an MOT failure? Thanks
  5. This is why I want to inspect it. To see if there is anything obviously wrong with it. It's not been hit as far as I know. It just came on one day while driving in the North of Scotland.
  6. its okay i found some instructions on removing the cover.
  7. Anybody know how to access the ACC radar. I have had the ACC unavailable fault for a while now, and understand it could have moved slightly and may just need realigned slightly. Want to eliminate this possibility before taking it the dealers for a recalibration. Car is due an MOT over the next few weeks, is this fault an MOT failure. Thanks in advance for any help.
  8. Yes. I have ordered the non vented ones.
  9. I think I will just go with the safe option and go for the non vented ones.
  10. Looking at getting new discs and pads fitted to my car. On euro car parts it gives me the option for vented rear discs. The ones on the car just now are not vented. Will the vented ones actually fit, given they are significantly thicker?
  11. So I recently bought a superb combi and I am looking to get a towbar fitted, as I could not find a used one with a factory fitted towbar. I did not realise about some of the issues, and cost, involved prior to buying the car. So I have gotten 2 quotes for fitting. One was for £585+vat from Buchanans Towbars in Glasgow. This was for westfalia detachable, and 13 pin vehicle specific wiring and all coding. Is this a decent price? Second quote from Indespension in Glasgow who are quoting £575 inc Vat, which is for Brink detachable towbar and universal electrics. They state that they can't fit the vehicle specific electrics if the car does not already have the factory towbar prep fitted. Which my car does not. Are they correct in stating this? Thanks in advance for any help.
