  1. Yes mine don't have it. But I serviced it last week with Castrol edge 5w-30. Couldn't believe how re easy to service this car is. Took an hour tops
  2. car is on 83k miles, so trying preserve it as long as possible
  3. Well need to see if I can find a free version of that. Sure I had them before, but don't know if I still have them
  4. Where do you see that. The manual I have is 502
  5. No mention of it anywhere
  6. https://www.skoda.co.uk/apps/manuals/Detail?vin=TMBME7NP1J7516491&manualLang=en here is a link to the manual. I got it from the Skoda app
  7. According to the manual in the car Yep. It's crazy how difficult it is to find this info. Especially when there is supposed to be a sticker on the car that tells you what should be used
  8. I have no way of knowing that unfortunately. What I would say is, it's unlikely that this car would have been hanging around a dealers any length of time. Given the high spec it was built to order for a specific customer
  9. I will speak to someone tomorrow about it, try and get a definitive answer. I will speak to someone tomorrow about it, try and get a definitive answer. I have no clue of build date, as I didn't buy it new.
  10. As mentioned earlier in the thread it's a 67 plate. Engine is cjxa, no idea what gpf is! Why does the manual state vw502? I plan on doing oil changes every 5000 miles
  11. After checking my owners manual, the car requires vw502 oil. Which is Castrol edge 5w40. So going round in circles here. I can't believe how difficult it is to get this info. Especially in this day and age. Will cancel my oil order until I can speak to someone tomorrow about it
  12. The engine is cjxa. Are u saying that 0w30 is the correct oil for this, as I have just ordered 5w30, as as far as I could find 5w30 is correct. Even more confused now lol Going to have to cancel that oil lol
  13. I assume you saw my posts! Looks like you are having an much luck as me. It's baffling that this info is not easier to find. Never had this issue with any other car, including my previous superb
  14. Can't find the bloody sticker that tells what the recommended oil is! Any idea where it is likely to be?
  15. Thanks. That's helpful to understand
  16. the 2 replies i have had to this query is a classic example of why this thread was so confusing! and the fact that when putting reg plate into different sites, gives different replies. which is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. i will stick with the sticker suggestion. i just assumed there may be a reason for people choosing to ignore it, or the sites giving different options!
  17. I have read this whole thread now about 8 times and I still can't figure out which is the best oil for my 67 plate 280! Depending on what site I use depends on what oil it says that I can use! 3 different options, some sites say one of compatible, another site says it's not! What is the correct Castrol edge for this car?
  18. I had this issue on mine for ages. Was able to use obdeleven to adjust some settings. I'm sure it told you how far out of alignment it was and you put the correct value in to sort it. Never had an issue with it since. Can't remember what the video was called on YouTube though. I came across it after searching for ages for a solution
  19. i had/have this issue with mine also
  20. one potential issue to be aware of when fitting aftermarket towbar is the possibility of water getting into the spare wheel well.
  21. I generally overtake with a much higher speed differential. So no fear of that led dying anytime soon lol
  22. As per my last message. The blind Spot detector is working fine, when trying it while going to work. I just don't really see when I would ever use it now. And for the record. If I come across a centre lane hogger, and I'm in the inside lane. Then they are getting under taken. I can't stand centre lane hoggers
