  1. Woohoo. Got it off with a long ratchet extension and a lot of force after cutting the pipe. Nearly went flying when it cracked the first time. Then used a ratchet spanner to get the rest off. The plug on the end was slightly different, had a plastic nub in a different place but cut that off and went in fine. Hopefully I can clear the error and somehow force a regen otherwise looks like I’m gonna have to go the garage.
  2. My reader won’t clear it. This sensor is being a really pain in the ass to undo.
  3. So changing the part today. The car has gone into limp home mode today and won’t clear so pretty sure it’s ****ed and will need a garage to clear it.
  4. What do you mean you didn’t film the whole process and put it on YouTube to help us learn from your mistakes?!? 🤣😂🤣 I guess I’ll look forward to lots of swearing next week when I get round to fitting it.
  5. The one I ordered has an orange plug but the sensor has the same right angle look to it. Probably because it’s not an official part but it fits lots of different cars. Not sure when I’ll get chance to fit it but will let you know.
  6. Cool. My dad’s got some ramps, Jack’s and props so sure we’ll have fun. Well I’ll be the one underneath anyway hahah
  7. I’ve just ordered myself a replacement part. Will let you know how I get on.
  8. I'm assuming they're all the same sensor type as (except the Lambda obviously) just in different positions?
  9. Surprised you've ordered a new one as you've clearly got 2 other good ones you've replaced? :-)
  10. Thanks mate, did your error lights come on again? I still need to order the part, being soo lazy about it. I've got some time off soon so will be able to get it sorted then thanks for the update.
  11. Nice one. Probably be the most awkward one to reach that is the right one to replace! The Haynes manual doesn’t even mention these sensors, so frustrating.
  12. Hey. Thanks for the update. according to a person on my post bank 1 sensor 3 is under the Cat and not the ones we’ve took photos of. They provided a diagram but I’m still not 100% sure exactly where it is cos the diagram had a few sensors on it.
  13. I can’t see any wires or plugs in that area. Got any pics of where it is? On mine I can only see 2 plugs/wires. One that’s goes to the sensor that you can see on top and the one I circled.
  14. Nice one. Seems like something I should be able to do. Do you have a link to the right part? I’ve got the part code but lots ones on eBay not sure to trust them.
  15. Nice one. Mine is slightly different but this helped loads. It’s kinda hidden underneath. matt from the post you linked has also replied with photos also. Thanks a lot. Hopefully I’m on the way to getting this sorted.
  16. Yes there’s photos of the part but not the engine bay
  17. Hi Matt. Where abouts is this located in the engine bay? I’ve got the same issue and hoping to fix it myself.
  18. So I cleared the code and went for a long drive in 4th gear up and down the motorway. Car felt fine, didn’t notice any regen happening and the DPF light hasn’t come on but now 12 days later the coil light is now flashing again with the p242a error bank 1 sensor 3 like said above. I can find the part to replace it online but where is it located in the engine? My dad has all the tools I would need to get it replaced and a ramp if I need to get underneath but struggling to find the relevant plug to locate it in the engine bay.
  19. Thanks, the cars not in limp/idle so will give it a good drive tomorrow and see how it goes. I don't think my OBD tool is sophisticated enough to force the Regen.
  20. Is there any way I can force the car into Regeneration mode? I've got nothing on tomorrow so could go for a long drive to try and clear the DPF filter - I only use my car for short drives so I don't think it's ever got up to temperature enough to properly clear it when the light has come on before.
  21. I’ve probably searched the wrong thing after reading the handbook and the Haynes manual sorry! Please be patient with me 😩 Is it the Lambda sensor giving this error then? I’m sure I’ve read that these need replacing near 80k but I’m prob wrong on that. Do you think giving the DPF a proper cycle will sort it? Based on other photos I’ve seen from a different engine that’s just how it is #shrugs#
  22. I’ve found it. It’s in an awkward place right at the back.
