Wireless Android Auto on Scala - no internet
With the hotspot disabled it won't work. As for the support by the car, I don't know, all I know is that it works on my 2020 Scala with Bolero.

Wireless Android Auto on Scala - no internet
The WiFi connection should be established automatically by Android Auto when you select to connect wirelessly (the phone and the car know about each other via Bluetooth and they perform the initial handshake and credential exchange via Bluetooth.)

Yes, the WLAN hotspot needs to be active, as Wireless Android Auto communicates via WiFi.

Reactivation of remote unlocking after infotainment factory reset?
After I bought the car, all Skoda Connect features were active except for remote locking and unlocking, I had to visit the dealership and have that activated, for security reasons. Now, as part of wireless Android Auto troubleshooting, I am thinking of factory resetting the whole infotainment system (Bolero). If I do that, will I have to visit the dealership again, to activate the remote unlocking, or will it remain activated once I log back in with my account, despite the factory reset?

Wireless Android Auto on Scala - no internet
As of Android 11, it is included by default. On previous versions, it may have or have not been preinstalled, you can install it from Play Store (if it's available in your country) or sideload it.

Skoda connect - is the car always online?
Hello guys, I recently bought a new Scala (I know I am in Karoq forum, read my post till the end) and it is always online, meaning that even when it is parked and locked, I can go to my Skoda Connect app, see the range info, see whether it is locked, honk the horn, flash the lights, unlock it remotely, etc... Now, my dad just bought a new Karoq and he is not very tech savvy and wants me to set all the "digital stuff" up - so, should I expect the same behavior from Karoq that I am used to from Scala? Will the car be always online, be able to unlock it remotely, etc...? Thanks!
