  1. Hello, just wanna give an update on my never ending problem with Skoda Scala and Android Auto. The Samsung S22 worked well until a few software updates got installed into the phone. Since then, the S22 is unable to connect using the AA, even via a cable. Every time I connect it, it starts loading and then it shows an error (something like "connection lost"). I tried countless times to overcome this issue, restarting phone / removing profiles / trying different cables / ... / ... it just doesn't work. I even bought AAWireless box, but it did not work either (it worked 100% with Scoda Kamiq 2021). I went to the Skoda service recently and they checked the infotainment - all up to date. I spoke with them about the AA problems and I was pointed to this page: https://compatibilitylist.skoda-auto.com/ The new Samsungs are not listed there, the latest one is S20 (S21 for the later Scalas). Funny enough, the S10e is still listed there :-) I'm giving up on this problem, seems like this is gonna be solved once we decide to buy a new car.
  2. Hey guys. After the update to Android 11/12 I had constant issues with AA and Samsung S10e in my Scala. The wireless AA was barely connecting (10% chance). Recently, even the wired connection started to behave flakey. I often endep up using my phone for navigation. A few weeks ago, I got a new Samsung S22 (base model, not plus/ultra) ... and it works👍I took me a while to pair it with the system for the first time, but since then it works just fine. I've used it - wirelessly - appropriately 10x and only 1x I had a connection issue. Lets see how it goes in the following weeks, but so far I'm optimistic.
  3. Where did you find this information? Samsung S10e with Andorid 10 was working without issues on the Bolero unit (HW 040, SW 0464) until I got the Android 11 update. Since then it does not work. The model was built before week 48/2020.
  4. OK, so I did some extra re-search and found: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/psa-android-11-update-could-break-down-android-auto-on-samsung-phones-153547.html And https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/95095343?hl=en Really looks like an Android Auto issue
  5. Hey, FYI Android 11 update broke the Wireless Android Auto for me (Skoda Scala). See details here:
  6. Hey guys, just wanna say that my S10e got updated to Android 11 and with the update the Android Auto stopped working. 1) Connecting wirelessly stopped working at all - the connection fails with 'Failed to connect' message (or some similar text) shown on the car unit. 2) Connecting via the USB-C cable starts the Android Auto, but the internet is not available in the car unit - I cannot listen to music / use traffic information in Google maps etc. I spent an hour today trying different tweaks but nothing seem to work. I also tried to set-up a second phone (Samsung Galaxy S21) but was unsuccessful again. From what I saw on Reddit / this forum, Android 11 breaks the Android Auto for some car models. Skoda Scala + Samsung S10e (Android 11) = Not working Skoda Scala + Samsung S21 (Android 11) = Not working I hope this will get resolved fast, I'm going to contact Skoda.
  7. I am unable to edit my previous post (???) so posting again, this time hopefully complete. I wanted to write about our 10k experience few months ago, but did not have any time to do it. We did additional 2k since when I jotted down my first thoughts on 10k with Scala, but the lists remain unchanged - here it is. PROS Emergency break assist. Saved us already twice. Second floor in boot. We keep our outdoor equipment there - in the summer, just pack the food and you are ready to go. Electric back door. Super cool feature, simplifies life. Would not buy another car without it. Light assist. LA is great - I used to have problems when driving during nights, the LED lights solved it. Cruise Control. Once you get used to it, you won't drive on the highway without it. 2 zone aircon. No more quarrels about the temperature. Car looks great. After half a year, I still like the car design. 1.0 TSI is enough of power. Was a bit afraid if 1.0 is not too weak, but no, it is more than sufficient. Easily folding back seats. CONS Beeping noise when engine on & driver door open. The back camera turns off when the gear is changed. Lane assist wheel sensor often beeps without a reason. Clumsy aircon handling. Click on menu button opens aircon menu, second click on the menu button does not close it. It is not possible to use keyboard while driving Did not find a way to get the navi into the virtual cockpit (Bolero) Hill assist does turn off at once. Could cause troubles if on low torque. The 2nd gear does not run well in low torque, one needs to get used to it. Wireless charging stops charging when phone too hot. Limited apps for android auto. In general, we are still liking our car a lot. Most of the CONs are 1st world problems or general moans that are not specific for Scala. If I could change something in the configuration, I would re-consider the automatic transmission as it - with combination with the cruise control - would simplify the driving by another grade. Apart of that, I'm really happy with what we got.

  9. Hello everyone, I was unable to find pictures of Scala on the Blade wheels when I was deciding what wheels to choose for winter. So I want to share my pics in case anyone is in the same situation as I was - I'm really happy we went for it, looks great :-)
  10. Hey guys, I've got my Scala recently and since then I'm struggling to connect Android Auto wirelessly and use Google maps for navigation. Has anyone managed to do it? My Scala is equipped with Bolero & I got Samsung S10E with Android 10. I firstly tried with my old Samsung S7, but AA did not work (I was able to pair Scala with S7 via Bluetooth & use the phone for calls but no AA) I tried with Samsung S10E (listed as a supported phone at the Skoda website) today and I was able to got AA working wirelessly - I managed to to play music via my Android music player and open Google maps. Unfortunately the maps showed an icon with crossed out cloud saying 'working offline' - the consequence of which was the navigation not showing routes, traffic info etc. I tried the standard turn on/off but did not help. Any ideas here?
