Exhaust differences between vRS and 1.8 20V/?
So, my mid muffler and rear muffler have reached the end of the road and I'm having trouble finding OEM parts here in Sweden. I did reach out to a company that makes stainless systems for different brands but they only have the 1.8 20V(https://rakaror.o.se/RostfrittavgassystemSkodaOctavia1_8_20v.html) listed, not the 1.8 vRS. I'm assuming the size of the exhaust is different one being a turbo and the other one NA? They also have the 1.9 TDI(https://rakaror.o.se/RostfrittavgassystemSkodaOctavia1-9Turbodieselkatalysator.html) listed. The person I talked to from the company speculated I could potentially use the middle part from the 1.8 20V and the rear muffler from the TDI one? Any inputs appreciated.

Headlight earth point?
I bought a pair of OSRAM XENARC COOL BLUE INTENSE D2S. Not any no-name cheap stuff afaik. Gonna re-check the fault code as I don't have it in my head, but when googling it last time there was a few suggestions about a possible bad earthing point.

Headlight earth point?
Can anyone point me to the right headlight(low beam) earth point? My right xenon bulb sometimes work, sometimes not. Usually if I switch on and off the lights it works again, but rather annoying anyhow. This is a LHD 2003 Mk1 vRS.

Squeeky noise at start-up?
I'm not based in the UK(Sweden) so that limits my options. Thanks!

Squeeky noise at start-up?
Late reply, I know, can anyone confirm this pump fits a MK1 vRS petrol 2004? https://www.ebay.com/itm/164345682767?itmmeta=01J0R0RBNWR0JHMCENZG58HTRE&hash=item2643c41b4f:g:tOUAAOSw4RZbDmrS&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8OuAYiHGEUwPNaEr7lg%2BK6HFOgHwEXFPwunYwLE7L10%2FErVRoTo%2BXVBL3miUkx94xQlW%2B3J3kQP5k7ArDlryi9vn3I7sNYiIJhnjvxqytbEiRklshYQ3DhaUqCekNGjWXMnzBRJhc8TgxWiNfw3q5RLrxwQBxB1JV8pGPePQsGoRZbAMPiYjHwnXnB2usS8Q8DNofxjyi6nK6sTFSID1TFT4JGIM%2FXz0JChGgJUXOewVTMNk2IvMDJ5yyrEmXkFcmg22utbNJIC8dIUWt2XyPdTso3SA2xjfCqPY4LUSXGY3KoQbVXwQixlZzdkqYCI28w%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR4a74YCGZA

Squeeky noise at start-up?
Thanks! Where is the SAI located? Is it a hassle to deal with if wanting to check for a split hose?

Squeeky noise at start-up?
Did a new recording. Still, its more noticeable to the ears than the phone, but I think you can hear it okay here, esp when the RPM drops after 30 seconds or so. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cmf2PP9Brs7ZfqRMHPipfMpoTSOuel63/view?usp=drivesdk

Squeeky noise at start-up?
The video doesn't really do it justice so it doesn't pick it up that well, but you should still hear the massive difference when the rev drops in the last seconds of the video.

Squeeky noise at start-up?
Ah, sorry, it must have expired. I've made it public now, try again please 🙂

Squeeky noise at start-up?
Maybe, but should it not be there all the time if so? Unless it goes away when temperature goes up slightly. I read somewhere about a secondary air intake that is active at startup, would fit as it disappears when revs drop.

obdeleven, boost pressure.
Ofcourse, there was no channel 115 but I just searched for Boost pressure and it showed up far down the list.

Squeeky noise at start-up?
My Mk1 vRS is making a high pitched squeeky noise when starting each morning. Always disappear within a minute when the rev drop from 1200 to 1000. At first I thought it was a belt issue but not sure about that. Not sure how much you hear it on the recording, but IRL it's quite an annoying sound 😅 Video link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bSR-g64eOTbo9PRTO2u_t6fl_v_3dmr0/view?usp=drivesdk

obdeleven, boost pressure.
Thanks mate, I found it in the end. Although, another issue appeared. It stops reading the values after a few seconds, like it loses connection, then resumes. Not a huge issue when watching live data, but recording charts doesn't work when the reading is interrupted.

obdeleven, boost pressure.
So, I want to check actual vs requested boost pressure which is usually done on channel 115 in the obdeleven app. The problem is, there is no channel 115 when I check live data or try to make charts. If I use the same obd device on my 2004 vRS I find it and can log, but not when I plug it in my Octavia vRS 2015. Any ideas?

Small issue after Stage1 map.
So I did a stage1 map on my 2015 Octavia VRS TSI a while back and noticed something slightly strange. I understand that ultimately I need to go back to the company responsible but just wanted see if anybody in here have any similar experiences. When powering out on a highway för example, the car stops responding for a fraction of a second just over 3k RPM. What makes it more strange is that it only does this in 'normal' driving mode, in Economy and Sport it does not behave this way. As far as I know there arent any differences between these modes other than throttle response and sound actuator. If something is off in the mapping it should surely affect all driving modes?

Rear camera/sound actuator?
Yeah, I know I can do it with OBDeleven. But some models have the options in settings right? Car is manual, camera is original equip.
-
Rear camera/sound actuator?
Nope, disengages as soon as I put it out of reverse in my car!

Rear camera/sound actuator?
Hey, Two questions. 1. I have a retrofitted Amundsen MY18 in my 2015 Octavia vRS . Is there any way of getting the sound actuator volume setting when you are browsing the different vRS-mode profiles? I recall seeing such a setting somewhere online. Shouldn't it be an option when setting up the individual profile? 2. I recently rented a 2020 Passat. The rear facing camera stayed activated a while after I put the gear out of reverse which was quite handy as you could spot rear parking lines even though you started creeping forward. Is there any way to code similar behaviour? Cheers

Slow car after drained battery and workshop?
So a reading like that is supposedly normal then?
-
Slow car after drained battery and workshop?
Okay, so after a little more reading up it seems that the throttle range between 14-86% might be normal figures after all. Would be good if anyone can confirm though. 🙂

Slow car after drained battery and workshop?
So, sadly my 2015 Octavia vRS had to ride the tow truck home from this summers camping trip. When I parked it everything was fine but when I was about to move it later on the gears wouldnt go in. A failed clutch release bearing as expected. Annoying as its only got 64000km on the meter.. Now that its back from the workshop I've noticed the car to feel quite tame and slow on heavy throttle so I plugged my OBDeleven in and when checking 'throttle position' it rangers between 14%(fully released) and 86%(full to the floor). This seems about right with how I feel with lacking acceleration. Now, can this get messed up when changing clutch package, or is there somethin to do with that I drained the battery at the camping site? Can I recalibrate this myself with OBDeleven or by some throttle/ignition sequence? Cheers

Hi new to group , stereo model help please
You'll have to explain in more detail what you mean by "a lot of money though for one button". What would be the better option? I have the small Bolero and a Mib1 unit right now.

Hi new to group , stereo model help please
Ok, so if I get a MY18 there should be no issues. If I go with MIB2.5, will a MIB2 Canton amp be dead in the water or will a MIB2 amp work? Maybe there is no such thing as a MIB2.5 Canton anyway?

Hi new to group , stereo model help please
This is the screen I would luv in my 2015 Octavia. Will the App button only work with certain head units or how does it work?
