L & K missing features
Just had a look. Its not there. Only lane assist (lane keeping system). No mention of adaptive lane assist. It is part of the travel assist package which was not on my order. I ordered the TSR package only.

L & K missing features
I've got lane assist where the car resists crossing a white line but not adaptive lane assist where it steers itself between the white lines!

Skoda SuperB Facelift MY 2020 Coding List and Adaption
Would like this on my MY21 L and K iV. Are there any implications with warranty etc. on a new car.

L & K missing features
So in a nutshell can I get travel assist inc adaptive lane assist as per below on my MY21 L and K iV. I ordered it with traffic sign recognition and it has predictive cruise control. Can my dealer do this upgrade. Will my car have all the required sensors?

2021 Model L&K Superb IV Estate (UK)
Manual to set the minimum charge level or to recharge to that level Auto to run in hybrid mode where the battery will almost fully discharge. Even when the battery is flat it still runs in hybrid mode. Presume its getting topped up a little all the time when braking. It uses the battery power for initial off the line starts and manoevering in car parks etc.

2021 Model L&K Superb IV Estate (UK)
just back from my first long journey in my iV. Filled to brim and fully charged before setting off for drive to South coast for work. Stuck to speed limits, drained battery and filled up on arrival. 304 mile and only took 5.03 gallons, so 60.4 mpg. Then about 40 miles in and out of office for a few days before same drive home, this time with a flat battery all the way. 342 miles and 7.1 gallons. So this time 48.2 mpg. Overall 53.2 mpg. On the trip South in hybrid mode it seemed to eek out the battery useage in the most economical way. Presumably running on battery when the engine was least efficient. It didn't go to zero until I was well over 200 miles from home. So, much better than I was expecting, particularly as I had boot full of heavy stuff and its brand new. Was expecting about 45 mpg at best. My Diesel 2.0 Pasatt would do about 57 mpg on the same trip. So with petrol being a bit cheaper than diesel not that much worse really Think I have also sussed out how to boost the battery while driving... In E mode - hybrid. uncheck Auto and up/down arrows appear adjacent to the battery status. Click the up arrow a few times and It will then start charging the battery back to the level just set using engine power. It seems to recharge the battery very quickly but at a cost. The instantaneous MPG dropped a lot while doing this. I assume this mode is also used to hold the battery at a set level.

Their reply should be interesting. So basically they have stuck Canton stickers on the doors for MY21. Was out in it last night and the adaptive lights are brill. Also the predictive cruise control. Having said that a trip out this morning and its seems now not to be working. Not sure why at the moment. Guess I've disabled it somehow. Removing the little torch certainly wasn't a simply clever thing to do. I'm just off now to count how many umbrellas I can find.

2021 Model L&K Superb IV Estate (UK)
SNAP.... Picked up my L and K iV estate yesterday and was coming to the same conclusions. I also just moved from a Pasatt with Dynaudio. It was OK but nothing special IMO. I also went a lookin' for the sub woofer and couldn't fnd it even though there is a sub-woofer slider shown in the equalizer on the Columbus. Moving it fully left and right has no effect on the sound. So guess it isn't fitted!! Needs a thorough test before I can say if it sounds any good. About to spend time trying to get Android auto working with my Motorola G5. (wirelessly I hope)

Superb iV battery charging
You have confused me now...these are the 2 cables that come with the iV. You use the mode 3 cable with your podpoint. Maybe I am getting confused here because the the Skoda cables are 2 and 3 My initial plan is to use the mode 2 cable straight into a 13A socket. According to the Skoda website... I would be happy with this but you say it takes 14 hrs using the mode 2. Big difference! Think I will sit tight till I get the car and see how long it takes myself. And thanks for the tipoff about the manual. I like the look of the Octopus Go tariff but if it does take 13 hrs to fully charge the car, the 4 hrs at cheap rate isn't going to save me a huge amount. Thanks for your help here Steve

Superb iV battery charging
I should take delivery quite soon of a new Superb iV and need to prepare for charging it up. As the car will be parked on the drive overnight most of the time I cannot see that it makes sense to pay for a type 3 wallbox/chargepoint just to cut the charge time down from 5 to 3.5 hrs. I intend to run a direct feed from the consumer unit to a wall socket mounted inside the garage near the roller door. I will leave the type 2 charge cable connected here and then open the garage door, retrieve the cable and plug it into the car then shut the door again. The cable will simply form round the rubber seal on the bottom of the door. I would like to closely monitor how much electricity I use to determine an equivalent mpg from both electric and petrol costs. To do this I am going to try using an alexa type smart plug with energy monitoring built in. Running the App on my phone will give me the information I need to do this. These sockets are rated at 13 Amps so should be able to cope with 13kWh / 5hrs = 2.6 kW = 2600W/240V = 10.8 Amps. Hopefully it won't get too hot. Has anyone tried to monitor the electricity useage by this or any other method. Also if I do decide to go the chargepoint route what is the best price out there for this. Is a grant available to keep the cost down. Wouldn't want to spend a lot on this as wouldn't need to charge it quickly very often.

To Canton or not to Canton - that is the question?
I have an iV L and K on order. It will be a 21MY. It has been built and should get it in the next few weeks. The MY21 on line configurator now says its got 'Canton' with sub as standard not just 'Sound System'. You can also specify Canton as an option on other iV versions for £645. As you say previously it wasn't called Canton in the iV. In my Pasatt with Dynaudio the sub sits inside the spare wheel. There is no spare with the iV due to battery. I assumed this is why there was no sub woofer Have Skoda now fitted a sub in the side compartments in the boot and are calling it Canton again.

You might be right but I think I read somewhere that the engine upgrades were going to be phased in over the next few months not neccesarily at MY21 change.

Predictive cruise control in Superb facelift?
The UK MY21 brochure and configurator is now live so I though I would check to see what differences there are between MY20 and MY21. My car is due to be built w/c 10th August so I assume I will get a MY21 car. Apart from the new steering wheel it seems there is not much between the 2 but I did notice a differnce in the PCC option. I have on order an L & K iV with TSR added as a £90 option. I did this as I understood that this enabled full PCC which uses TSR and sat nav data. It now seems there are 2 more option both costing £190, These are travel assist and travel assist/park assist. It looks like you now need either of these options to get PCC or predictive adaptive cruise control as it is now known. Its all very confusing ( to me anyway)

Factory closing.
Just to update my situation. My iV was ordered end Feb. At the start of July my dealer gave me a build week 33 (mid August). Thought I would double check this with Skoda live chat today and they confirmed build week starting 10th August. So prob get the car end of September as can take 4-6 weeks to get to the dealer!!!

Superb iV
Just looked again and got this wrong. You can go through the configurator and specify the iV in SE trim but its not in the brochure. according to the brochure only SE L and above are available as iV's So in the configurator you cannot specify DCC as an option.
-
Superb iV
I have just had a look on the configurator and right at the bottom of the options list for the SE Technology it lets you add DCC for £1015.

The Superb III Picture thread
Some small consolation I suppose. Would rather have the car for the summer though.

I presume the build date was something you could only check after delivery. With my Pasatt I was able to track my order without pestering the dealer. Looks like I will get mine late September, 7 months after order went in. Looks like yours took 5 months.

Thanks but was actually refering to alrobbo 's post. You got yours pretty quick then. It was ordered after mine and mine won't even be built till August. Maybe something to do with it being an iV. I know there is also a hold up at Emden while a ship to Tyne port has a space. I also will be moving from a Pasatt to the Superb. I'm all for relaxed with oomph if you need it.

Looks great. I've got an iV L and K on order. Dealer informs me it will be built mid August then 5-6 weeks to get to the dealer. Seems excessive! And it was ordered in February. What were the time scales for yours.
