  1. Hi Jamie Thanks for that, i done exactly the same and it’s worked! Fab, thanks!
  2. Hi This morning I used the my SKODA up to deice the windows however it only does the front? Is this correct?
  3. Yep. Mine done that. I toggled the key fob open and closed and kept pushing. It clicked ope when the car was locked and vice versa but managed to re set and get working
  4. I've used an iPhone 7 and now a SE and it happens on both models I need to do a process of elimination by testing my SE phone in a different car at the same locations. Just a shame Google are completely uncontactable! Ta
  5. I’ve never tested that but it does say about 380 miles when you start up, and full tank costs about 50 quid 55 quid at the moment I’m sure if you’re going to do that distance you would’ve just the hybrid settings sorted recuperated more energy for the battery
  6. There is clearly still massive problems with this, it’s not good at all. I had the same issue when I logged back in it showed a different vehicle and it is still doing the logging out scenario and losing all of my shortcuts
  7. And going forward, the Connect App (for charging etc) is chargeable after the first year. Im certainly not paying for it!
  8. LOL!! Deano must be just back from his holidays, he emailed me today too and said that I should contact my local dealer to discuss other connection issues I have with the Colombus Infotainment and CarPlay! I excpect its Covid's fault
  9. Complete balls up. Very frustrating! Does anyone here use Apple Carplay and Google Maps? I have alaso posted on here about Google Maps zooming in and out really quickly whilst driving and I'm strating to think it might be Infotainment system related. Nowhere does Google problems mention this issue and it happens only in my Superb Iv. Waze is better (also owned by Google Maps) but is still weird and doesnt perorm very well. Let me know if anyone experiences this with Goohle Maps to help me with teh process of elimination. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpX8gFRXYbE
  10. Sounds great but no update yet on iOS? As of the 11th of December
  11. OMG This app is dreadful and so frustrating. Just doesnt work at all. No action from SKODA for a service which is useless. Very frustrating considering it was working fine until it was updated recently!
  12. Enjoy your new car! I do love mine and the sound is good but not what I was expecting. All the best
  13. Hello When I use Google Maps through CarPlay, the map screen constantly zooms in and zooms out really fast for the duration of any journey. It's not the standard auto zoom when you approach a junction or roundabout, this is a bug but unsure where and what. There's no way of contacting Google so I thought I would ask on here if anyone else has experienced this so I can do a process of elimination. If you manually zoom in or zoom out using the arrow keys on screen, this temporarily alleviates the issue but doesnt get rid of it. Unfortunetaley the constant zooming in and out is really distracting and I find unusable. Running the latest iOs on iPone 7, Columbus Infotainment. Has anyone esle experienced this? Very short clip attached. IMG_7819 (1).MOV
  14. Thanks for that That is exactly what happens. Not sure what else to do. I have deleted user details and started again but it seems to remember settings and as soon as it tries to connect to CarPlay via Wifi, it turns on the data less hotspot between the car and my phone
  15. Hi Hope someone can point me in the right direction? Phone connects perfectly fine to Bluetooth and CarPlay via USB connection. When my want to connect my iPhone to CarPlay using WiFi, Ia prompt appears asking me to connect to WifI. When I do so and turn on WifI connection, it bridges the car's infotainment system with my phone but stops any mobile data connection coming into my phone. This means I cant stream any music or basically use any of the Apps like Google Maps Not sure if it's just me. Hope you can help? Thanks
  16. I've been in touch with SKODA UK who are aware of it. I've sent screen videos and all kinds so at least they have the evidence Pleased its not just me! Hopefully a fix should arrive soon Thanks
  17. Hi Anyone else using this App and finding it more unreliable than reliable? Since I got my iV in Spetmeber, everytime I want to use the app, it asks me to log in, then it crashes, then it is unavailable then crashes mid use. There's been updates and I've done the usual log out, delete, reinstall etc etc etc. Cheers
  18. I've got the 2021 model with he Canton sound system and the "sub" It's still dreadfull and I was really gutted with the sound after having a VW with the Dynaudio system and sub (which was the size of the spare wheel) My previous car was well balanced at all vulume levels and the car felt alive The 2021 Canton system is nowhere near the Dynaudio I had even with having more and bigger speakers in the doors of the Superb They have positioned the "sub" behind the nearside rear passenger seat in the boot, sandwiched between the seat and the battery. Its about 45cm long and 20cm wide and serves very little purpose other than to any passenger sitting in the back on that seat. I've tried every setting possible and have given up. Would love to be able to change the crossover or balance the sound better R
  19. Yeah I posted when I got mine in September. There's a few things missing, the DVD/CD and SD cards along with tghe torch in the boot and rear seat release. Spoke to SKODA and they have said it's due to.......................Covid Supply issues apparantly
  20. Maybe it needs a software update? Mine doesnt say that, just says about the phone
  21. I've had my Superb iV now since September and it's great. I can manage fine ll week, to and from work on a charge at each end doing 20 mile there, 20 mile back. I have a charghe point at home and one at work. What I'd lile to know is what would you consider the best setting to drive on for longer journeys, for example, when I do a 100 mile round trip at the weekends with only one charge option, the car will always start in full "e" mode and run on battery for about 20-25 miles then switch to hybrid with the battery light on red. I'd then have to run 75 miles (for example) in this mode. I've tried using Hybrid mode set to Auto but again, the battery usually exhausts itslelf and it drives (still in ybrid mode) but with the light on red I have also tried using Hyrbrid mode and setting the battery recouperation to manual and ensuring it always stays at 50% but that makes me think its not themost economical way to drive? In your exerience, what would you recommend for these kind of journeys to maximise efficiency? Cheers
  22. I drove two journeys last wekend fullylaiden car, 2 big kids, 2 adults, full boot and 2 dogs Worked perfectly fine and still pulled when needed
