Hi Jeff Is your's the 2024 model with the new software? I'm not expecting great things with Canton but it was part of the package. As I said, years ago I had a VW gold Estate and tehir Dynaudio was way superior with proper punch and shake to the bass. The sub in my superb estate is behind the nearside back seats under a huge wooden shelf and the only benefit of feeling any low frequency is for my dogs when they travel otherwise it's pretty rubbish. I even went to Autosounds in Newcastle to enquire about a custom amp or sub but it just seemed OTT The bass loss in yours also sounds like some kind of amp crossover issue My expeience with Skoda UK was dreadful but most of it was during Covid. I think with things like this, they're not going to do anything. Anyway, looking forward to full electric, lower tax and a change of motor Thanks R

Hi m8 Ive got a superb L&K with Canton and it's poor compared to my old Golf I bought (from here) a new cable for the sub as it seemed the polarity was swapped over. It improved it but not by much I'm expecting my 24 model 85x coupe in the next month or so from Pulman in Durham - Happy to compare or help where I can - not sure where you are with this now?

Yeah used to cost me 0.48p to get a full charge, now its over £3 and only getting about 12 mile

Hello Apart from the continuous issues i've experienced with this app over the last two years, my latest problem now (being winter) is the window heating function Some days it will defrost the rear screen, other days it wont! I understand that leaving the door mirror switch to "heat" means that the wing mirrors will heat when the window heating function is selected from the app but the rear screen seems to be hit and miss My car is back in to SKODA next week for even more software updates as just about every other day I get error messages and failed connections when trying to use the app. You will already know that the Infotainment systems tells you about software updates whilst on the move but never seems to prompt you (or update) when you are stationary. After numerous e mails to SKODA supplying them with endless screen shots and details of current software versions, app versions etc, they have told me to take it to a dealer (again) for more updates. The dealer in Durham (UK) has said it needs 2 days to perform these updates Anyone else have these issues or anyone know how to resolve the rear screen heating issues? Cheers

The screen shot was just to show that it wasnt active Ordinarilly when you plug ionto the chargere it locks and starts charging straight away, the issue now means that doesnt happen, nor does the button inside work but thanks anyway Its in the garage Thursday where I'm sure it will be working perfectly when I take it in lol

Superb iV intermittently not charging - faulty cable? App? Software? Car? Help!
Hi all 2021 model Superb iV Estate and had very little to moan about until this happened. I use a wall charger at work and a wall charger at home. Last month when I left work, I noticed my car hadn't charged. I put it down to me not turning on the power switch on the wall socket. That night at home, when I plugged the cable in, the car and charger didn't "click" and start charging. Normally the green light will start flashing slowly but all I got was an orange light which then went off. The Skoda Connect app also showed some weird things (see image attached) It said it was all connected yet when I tried to start charging through the app, it said no power was going to the car and I should "contact Skoda". I use ev.energy home wall charger and on their app it was saying the car wasn't connected. After ages spent unplugging, plugging, resetting, logging in and out I gave up but bizarrely, when I got up the next morning and plugged the car in, it started charging straight away. I arrived at work, plugged in and it didnt work. (AGHHHH!) I tested on a colleagues Kia electric car and it started charging straight away. Retried mine and it worked again. This afternoon after a full charge, I used about 25% charge, came back to work, plugged in and it didn't work. Five minutes later it started charging. Anyone else had this? SKODA want my car in for at least a full day but it's so sporadic, I expect them to say "it was ok when we had it" Scratching my head. Is it after app updates (last update was 2 weeks ago but worked fine up to yesterday) Is it after car software updates? I've also tested the 3 pin standard charge and that works. Any ideas please? Sorry, missed this! The modified cable arrived and fitted to the sub without any problems I'm sorry to shoot down the hardened pro know-it-alls and sound engineers on here but this simple modification has made an unbelieveable difference to the Canton system. I was speculative but happy to try - I've had the car from new since 2020 and my greatest disapointment with the whole car was the lack of bass from a factory fitted sub and premium system (knowing what my Dynaudio system was like in my VW Gold estate). The crossover is perfect and the low volume frequency is now warm and fills the car where before there was nothing. Louder LOUDER LOUDEST volumes are exceptional and well balanced and distortion free. It's not about being loud and blasting, just refined and as it should be. Sorry to say to the doubters but I am delighted with my modification and I can highly recommend and thank @spacelordfor their findings witjh this Worth a punt if you've got this model and system and you enjoy good audio and certainly only worth shouting about if you can hear it first hand! Case closed, very happy Canton modifcication - thanks @spacelord

I have the 21 model L&K iV and mine has and still is riddled with intermittant niggles (so Im pleased its not just me) Issues include; Stuck on user login screen yet audio starts playing Bluetooth / Carplay connectivity is generally problematic at least twice a week - No audio at all from any source For an expensive motor, the basic connectivity and audio issues with the system are dreadful. I'll speak to dealer next tim its in to check firmware version Cheers

MySkoda is useless
New app, new problems! We've now lost the favourites section when the app starts (which usually kept changing to default settings anyway) App now takes ages to initiate/open Connectivity and functions even worse than before Never a response from MySkoda when you log a bug!

Replacement Wipers
Mine was September 2020 (21 model) and the wipers (blades) are awful. Onto my second set front and back and now ready for new ones (19,000 miles)

MySkoda is useless
Hello Had by Superb iV for over a year now and I wanted to ask if anyone else experiences continual issues and bugs with MySkoda? I use iOs and everything is up to date. Each day there's generally a bug or problem - predominantly if I want to warm the car (typcial when it's cold it never works!) I regularly get the app saying the heating process has failed to start and I get the red exclamation mark on the app with "try later" yet when I get in the car it has actually started As above but with no heat so just a complete fail App shows heating is on yet when I get in car it isnt App just wont allow me to start heating and app just hangs. After a restart it does the same (presuming here that the whole service is offline?) Home screen regularly loses my shortcuts and replaces with default settings Often asked to log in or app just runs really slo I've stopeed sending bug reports to Skoda as they simply never reply. I asked on Twitter and they said to report bugs (which I have done and get no response) For a very expensive car and a paid service and app which doesn't do what it should is pretty annoying. As I say, had the car over a year now and to be honest, the problems seem worse now than when I got it. Cheers

Hey Roo2, i’ve been hesitant to update this thread but for two days now I have had no glitches with Google Maps in my car!!! I’ve updated to Google Maps 5.73 and it seems not only glitch free but the GPS location on the map in relation to the car seems very good Fingers crossed it works for you and mine stays as it is!

Hi Roo2 I’m using the latest iOs 14.6 and it’s still doing it on mine, likewise the other phones I’ve tested Had another annoying message from Skoda UK totalling missing the point so I’ve told them to forget about it. I’m resigned to just using the zoom in zoom out when I start each journey, just going to have to accept it and probably never find out the loose link between Skoda, Google and Apple! At least it’s sunny and warm at the moment 👍😀

Hi Roo2 Think I have found a fix but lets not tell Skoda, Apple or Google When I set off, I hit the button on the bottom left which allows you to zoom in and out Hit zoom out once then zoom in once (so you are back to normal level) Click top right "finished" Let me know if this works for you? Ta R

Hey Roo2, was about to ask what phone are you using but just read above. You will love this; Pulman Skoda (Durham) just left a message to say my car is ready and the Comumbus system is fine, its my phone which is at fault! I rang back and ended up speaking to a "technician" who said he'd been asked to look at the native sat nav system. I was furious. I've had the car since last September and this problem is going nowhere fast and it seems nobody can offer any firm advice or direction. Even Skoda said it needed to be sent to a dealer to check. The car has been with them since 8am this morning. I explained the phone is a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max. It also done the same crazy zoom in and out in December when I had a works iPhone SE and before that in October when I had a iPhone 7. The problem even existsed when I tested my daughter's iPhone 8. I have tested my phone 12, the SE, an iphone 8 and an iPhone 7 in my wife's car (a VW Polo) and it all works fine. But according to Pulman - "it's my phone" If there was a way to contact Google I'd try that. The forums say my question is closed and bo comments can be posted. I've posted on Twitter too and not a word. There's an inherrant problem and i'm convinced it's a glitch with Skoda/VW and the Columbus CarPlay system. The issue is probably rarely reported hence the reluctance to investigate it. Any thoughts? Hello, I’ve tried three phone in my car and all do it yet the same phones in a VW polo dont! I’ve emailed SKODA UK who have said I need to take to dealership. My car is booked in next Monday for a recall and they are going to look at it then. They did say there was an update to the infotainment system but I’m betting that doesnt fix it! Expecting the needle in a haystack scenario but I will let you know cheers
