  1. Old topic, but let's contribute.

Today installed Milltek SSXVW349 on Skoda Superb 280. Perfect fit as I have expected.

I have to measure if there is change in performance, feels like mid-range is better, but I have to confirm it.

Audible change is almost not distinct. On idle, city driving, I can not hear the difference. On full throttle it is also not obvious, at least not from the inside. For sure there is some change, but not that is night and day.

Car is already Stage 1, so noise was harder than stock due to higher turbo boost. Supposedly rear O2 sensor is already disabled in the map, so I should not have any codes related to downpipe installation. And 200cell cat helps too.

So, to confirm that downpipe from Golf 7R is suitable for 280 for sure.

  2. Ok, for somebody even 150bhp is enough, for others 600bhp is not.

Value for money, I agree with you, but it is all up to personal preferences.

Only drawback I would accept is reliability of the setup. Everything else is personal choice.

I thought you had some big issues.

You could run PowerMax Stage 1 without Intercooler and Downpipe and it will bring you to 400bhp. I think it would be reliable as any Stage 1 car, but somehow it is Stage 3 having in mind turbo mod.

  3. With 280 cjxa you will not have a problem. Gearbox is good too.

Restyle with 272 engine does not have mpi, so you could end up with carbon build up, esspecialy with short rides in Serbia.

But 7speed gearbox is more economical.

220 engine is almost the same as 280. Turbo is different, compression ratio,...

But it has longer gears even in 6 speed version. It is fwd and rare.

But interesting for tuning with is38.

Would be faster than 4x4 in 100-200 and with higher top speed and better fuel economy on the highway.

My average consumption in last 60.000km is 11.7l/100k, while 50.000km is on Stage 1 with 350hp.

This is only drawback comparing to 1.4/1.5.

  4. Hello Aleksandar, since I am from Serbia too, I can say that CJXA has only major problem with water pump/thermostat. I have replaced mine and it costed less than 500eur with original Skoda parts.

There are no other major problems. It need to be maintained well, quality oil, quality petrol, quality parts...every 10.000km
I am thinking to sell mine, but I am not sure what to buy after to satisfy what Superb provides now and provide something more. :)

  5. I think it only changes let's say multiplicator value for the pump voltage.

For example if it pumps 3bar at 6v and 6bar at 12v, new one shoukd have coefficient less than 1, so 5v is 3bar and 10v is 6bar.

    This is simplified solution.

It will pump 7.2bar at 12v then.

  6. Not possible with Powermax stage 1 to go to 480. You will be happy if it goes over 460hp, even with HPFP.
520nm is already limit for stock engine, so be aware.

It would be great that you provide both curves on the same graph chart: for stage 2 and stage 3.

What makes you say this?  Has someone launched their Skoda more than 200 times?

My tuner has checked this and confirmed there is no counter counting number of LC's.

No need to launch it 200 times, counter is visible.

I think it is even visible by vcds.

So, first versions of 280 pre-facelift do not have counter.

    Enjoy launching :)

    So those are replacements, right?

Curious who's making the OE shocks, could it still be Monroe?

Monroe is OE and you can buy spare ones.
I have replaced mine and it is better than it was used to be, but old ones had 170.000km, so it is expected.
For less than half a price of B4 or B6 dcc they are worth if yours are are already worn out.
