  1. I had same problem with my car and the egr valve was stuck open when I dissconneted the plug it was still rough so drove it 30mins and error code come up and it ran perfect so dissconnet your egr plug and see what happens after a drive
  2. Thanks I just took the egr valve plug off and it's running way better about 900 rpm and it's staying there when it was working 100% rpm was about 700 just hope it stays like this
  3. I take lambda probe out and have a look and I had an air leak on my old car and the idle was high not low and never got no stalling just it wouldn't go past 30mph I ordered a replacement egr valve and got a new temp sensor should arrive this week I update when I replaced them
  4. One more thing I forgot to mention is that it runs better with the error codes when I erase the codes it gets worse
  5. True but It ran perfect for 2 months and I'm getting a another one from the seller hope it works. Just took it for another 20 min drive and it's still rough idle but way better than before and on the drive no problem pulling through gears just coming to a stop or at idle
  6. Ok I will try that but it a brand new egr valve this problem started only when I changed the egr valve as it had the same code and I did re adapt it this problem happened before I cleaned the egr valve and all pipes connecting to plus throttle body and it ran perfect for 2months
  7. I just took it for a 30 min drive and got codes P0107 P0402
  8. No fault codes I did disconnect the temp sensor no difference

Hi I got a Skoda fabia 1.4 16v it has stalling issues drives perfect only problem is coming to a stop or at idle had new inlet manifold new fuel injectors new map sensor new camshaft sensor and checked for air leaks and cleaned egr valve and all pipes connecting to it i put a video link to show what it does https://youtu.be/2Nv3dGy_qSg

Hi I got a skoda fabia 1.4 16v 2005 I got stalling problems and the rev hunting it goes to idle then to about 100 sometimes it stalls but sometimes it recovers and sounds like backfire plus engine shakes and smell pertol somtimes happend 2 months ago had no codes but i fixed by cleaning TB, EGR vavle and all pipes connecting to it left it over night and next day it worked perfectly for two months but got same problem again done cleaning as last time but not worked this time Plus i got 3 codes P0106 its for map sensor which i cleaned but got same code so ordered a new one be hear next week Other codes are wierd p00c1 P00AF which are related to turbo/ supercharger problems but the thing is my car not got a turbo or supercharger can anyone help thanks One more thing i put new egr vavle new plugs and 4 coil packs and camshaft senors
  12. 2 month update same problem again it happened few days ago it done it for few minutes then i turned it off left it for 20mins and it started fine but now its just like before i cleaned like before but no change with any ideas thanks Plus no codes showing up either

I never done it as everywhere i looked no one mentioned it so thought it wasn't necessary but now i know it is and i think people should tell others as if these bolts come out on the motorway anything can happen. It did happen to my bro long time ago but luckily he was on local roads and coming to a stop and it just snapped no steering control or drive to get out of harms way if he was on a motorway that would be bad

Yes manual gearbox n i try them tourqe setting 180 does sound brutal but i add some thread lock as im going to be driving on the motorway for my new business so thread lock will add extra protection and peace of mind will update in a months time so it helps other people if it holds up thank you for the help
  15. No tourqe setting was told to me by a local garage and yes nuts and new bolts came with driveshaft plus i done all work myself done it on other cars many times with no problems

Hi i got skoda fabia 1.4 16v 2005 the problem is that the drive shaft bolts come loose after a few months i tourqed them to 50 nm plus further 45° turn but same problem plus the drive shaft is new and come with the bolts. I wanted to ask is it a good idea to add red thread lock as heard people doing this to stop the bolts coming loose Thanks
  19. Thanks and yea it does everyone was saying sell it but i never give up and i never took any of my cars to the garage as there is alot of info out there now days it be stupid not to do it myself and save alot of money Thanks for all your help

UPDATE I cleaned egr vavle, egr pipe and throttle body with carb cleaner left it over night put it all back together today and its working perfectly now took it for a drive for 20 mins no problems at all hope it stays running Thanks for all your help Plus where the egr connects to mainfold i shoved a screw drive up there cleaned that out aswell

  23. I checked for vacuum leaks aswell and get no error code just my 02 sensor bank 1 sensor one stays at 1.2v no matter what i do i disconnected it to see what happens but made no difference

Ok thanks im having a problem with my Skoda fabia it runs rough and stalls i changed all coils and spark plugs cleaned throttle body and fuel injectors it all started 5 days after i changed the egr vavle for a new one i checked it and it works perfectly but when i disconnect the egr it runs rough but don't stall what you think it can be
  25. My throttle body did not have a gasket part number 036133161C just a green ring im thinking this is why my car is running rough and misfiring plus it stalls
