  1. Hi, as far as i can tell, most of us have again as of 01.04.22 connection with the skoda servers, bud no one actually got feedback from skoda that it works again.
  2. Funnily, if i log in on the skoda connect site on the web and want to see what services are active for my car, it tells me that smartlink+ isn't activated (it was shown as active without validity period before the "blackout"). Maybe because of that there is the message "not fully compatible" in the app and no logbook.
  3. It's through skoda connect, https://www.skoda-connect.com/ it's the same for my octavia 2018, it doesn't have the emergency call function and the whole "crap" so you can see if the windows are closed and stuff, which i never was interested in . the online traffic is the only thing i was missing did you manage to solve the problem?
  4. Sorry, i never had this problem... If you already have smartlink and doesn't have to be unlocked it could be that your phone isn't compatible (i find it hard to believe), or maybe the usb-cable isn't ok (you wouldn't be the first one)
  5. Hi all, it's working also for me, just as it's supposed to do! Cheers!
  6. Well... no such luck for me! Still isn't working after disconnecting the battery
  7. Thanks for the heads up! Mine did it, without effect... But i'll try to connect today, maybe the flopsy servers are running
  8. Exactly the same in my case... i got my car back yesterday, at the moment there is nothing they can do... poor performance from skoda, i count myself lucky, that the online infotainment the only thing is that relies on connection in my case. VW group is lightyears away from where they presume they are and the customer is the one comming short. Cheers
  9. In my case it is still and always was part of the problem i reckon, the services management screen just stayed blank. My car is at the dealership, they are checking if there is a problem with the OCU... i hopefully can tell more tomorrow
  10. Hi, i have a new appointment at Skoda on Monday. The dealership said there is nothing they can do, i should call the Skoda hotline. After i talked with representatives o Skoda Germany, they told me i should bring my car again to the dealership and they should check the OCU... We'll see what they say on tuesday. I'll keep you all in the loop too.
  11. Hi, the infotainment online was free for me the first 12 months, i used the traffic infos a lot, in Germany is quite good. after that you have to pay for a subscription on a yearly basis, i always renewed the services logged in on my pc
  12. yes, mine was white up to december, until i lost connection. After that the globe remained red, i have no traffic updates, nothing... then count yourself lucky
  13. @Cremtothemem what exactly did they do for you to be able to have a white globe and traffic updates? That should be at least a step forward in my case...
  14. Well @pa_ko, that's also my own opinion, i am just hoping there is a solution to it... with this level of incompetence how can you trust the new era of cars, where they are continuously linked... It cannot be enough to be able to say, if it works, it can do this and that... it should work 100%. Imagine saying, well if the brakes work, the performance is good :D. And the trend is unfortunately putting the software more to work. This, on the other hand, requires people who know what they do
  15. The Skoda reps here did almost the same thing, without resetting the modules (there cannot be anything wrong with the modules because there is no fault code... one could argue with that). They asked me to delete my skoda account within the skoda app with the hope it would connect. I tried to tell them, that the problem resides before the app, the whole system should function also without the app (it did before). They took a look in their system and it showed that the infotainment online was active for my car until 07/22, but the car was not allocated to a user in their system. I told them, that there is where the problem lies... and then they asked me to contact skoda directly... the rest is already known... i find the guys at the dealership are tapping in the dark, and the ones at skoda are the quintessence of incapability... I wonder what happens if the car relies more on internet and skoda servers... welcome to the new age @Cremtothemem: i hope you have more luck than i, keep us posted
  16. Hello, where exactly should one enter the driver license info (in the infotaiment)? Me they told that the phone number linked to the skoda id was a prerequisite of the whole system working, there is no way that the system can work without those linked infos... the first question i asked is, then how the heck did it function for 3 years? Let's just say, i have the feeling they are poking around like children in the dark. My infotainment system stopped connecting while on a trip abroad. The first thing they did was trying to explain to me, that different mobile providers have different data access protocols. It didn't help that i told them it worked all the way through Germany, Austria, Hungary and even Romania within 2 days, and when is suddenly stopped, it stopped everywhere. Not to say, that the phones' access protocol is the same in roaming, and fixed on ipv4. You cannot find someone who would actually listen to what you have to say. It is like going to the doctors' with symptoms and self diagnosed (i understand, the doc is actually doing his own assessment and filtering your input), but in this case the doc is trying to tell you that your blurry vision is caused by an ingrown toenail... really poor performance (and on top of it, you pay a subscription for the treatment)...
  17. In my case the infotainment system mostly didn't get to the point for me to be able to enter the code and i wasn't able to get infos on the services from the settings (as shown in the pictures). This Sunday i tried again, and to my surprise it wanted me to enter the code... after that it was thinking for about 20-30sec (didn't time it exactly) and then came the error message "No data link available".... On the other hand, Skoda answered to my email, and asked for more information.... and that was that... didn't hear from them since
  18. Still no response from Skoda Germany... i'll keep you posted
  19. Hello y'all, i have the same problem as of around christmas last year on an Octavia from 2018. I tried everything i could think of, reset the infotainment, downgrade the Amundsen FW from 480 to 478 (i thought it may be related to the update which i performed in november), tried connecting through different phones (from Android 9 to 12, IOS, setting the mobile data AP from ipv6 to 4 on all) and even directly over my home WLAN, all without avail. I had to have the car 2 times at the dealership for other things and i specifically asked to resolve this problem also (i am paying a yearly fee for what i am not getting...) and they had no clue (told me to delete my connect profile and all that stuff, without results)... i started to think maybe some module in the infotainment system is the problem, but now i see i am not the only one having the same problems, and more interestingly, starting in the same period, all around Europe (Hungary, UK, Denmark, Holland, Germany)... i'll write to Skoda Germany and keep you informed.
  20. I already did, i resetted the system, unfortunately without success. The Infotainment connects to the phone, i can see the connection on the phone and in the infotainment settings on the w-lan page, but there is no connection to the internet through the phone. Hence i cannot connect to the infotainemnt online services. I tried different phones with different android versions, without avail.
  21. Hello @pab567, i have a question that maybe you can answer... I updated my infotainment (5Q0035874C, HW H41 SW 478) to SW 480 because of problems with wlan connection. It didn't help, but i found that the error was because of the APN of the phone (using ipv6 instead of ipv4). It worked flawlessly until now, but now my infotainment refuses to connect through the phone's hotspot and i was thinking about restoring the older version (478). Can it be done the same way?
  22. My call for help goes out to @pab567 or anybody else with info or download link if there is a newer version
  23. Hello pab567. You already helped me with the combination Device part number: 5Q0035874C HW: H41 SW: 0471, i had 478 running for quite a long time now. I hat wifi connection problems with my pixel 3a (the infotainment system usually didn't connect to my android hotspot, it was either showing connected, but there was no traffic info or connection to online infotainment services, or didn't connect at all) and because of that i stayed with android 10 until now. The same problem seems to persist with android 12, none of my phones running android 11 or 12 are connecting to the infotainment system and i don't really want to turn back to android 10. I am hoping a newer infotainment software would resolve the problems and i read here that there should be a 480. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.
