  1. https://i.ibb.co/p445zVF/IMG-4155.jpg here are the result of a DPF monitor. i am not sure what’s wrong in these values Is there something obvious that keeps the light on?
  2. Does anyone know if the warning light will reset itself if the problem is solved or do I need to reset it manually and check if it reappears?
  3. I found it in the service manual. The dealer wrote it there in the service history. thanks
  4. I have a 2.0 TDI but I am trying to use an app to find the status of my DPF filter. it is asking which engine model I have. how do I get this info?
  5. Did you guys buy the basic carista or the EVO one? i don’t see a reason to pay for the expensive one.
  6. The timing is a bit strange, I had no engine light before the service. by the way does anyone know where I can buy an OBD scanner for this model that will give the DPF data?
  7. During a service the shop said they spotted the DPF filter being clogged up. We paid for a DPF revival, I think they run the engine at high speed to force the revival process. Soon after the service I got the engine light warning. Brought it back and they would like us to pay 1 day of diagnostic. Apparently if the DPF is faulty that would cost 3k GBP to replace. There is a chance that the sensor is wrong that would be alot cheaper to replace. At this point I am wondering if I should look for third parties who claim to be able to clean a DPF. The car has 74000 miles so it may have just reached the ‘capacity’ of the DPF. A quick google shows that they have a lifetime around 70k to 100k miles. Wondering if anyone has advice or encountered a similar situation Maybe I should have bought a petrol 😂
  8. So guys, it was entirely paint transfer, except for a tiny spot where I think the collision happened. Must have been something like a scooter that fell on it because he made a line that went over the back door handle and continue but did not touch the mirror. I tried removing most of it using WD40 and a microfiber towel, that didn't work very well, I manage to remove most of it by rubbing a bit of it with either a nail or rubbing a bit harder with the cloth. After this, there were fine lines that were probably slightly deeper, I could remove them using a magic sponge eraser. Now you can barely see anything except at the point of impact where it is slightly darker for some reason. I have ordered some Turtle Wax scratch repair and will apply it over. But the thing I am the most relieved about is that it was definitely not intentional, I had a really hard couple of weeks at work, working from home since March. I feel alot better that this was just an accident.
  9. Hey guys, thanks for the replies. After J.R. post I went to look again, and it looks like it is possibly white or silverish paint transferred: I rubbed a corner and some of it came off. I guess I should just try to remove the paint and apply some wax myself.
  10. Hey, looks like someone scratched my car and ran away. It looks like someone did this on purpose as it is on the whole length of the car. I was quoted £450 to fix the paint work as it is on 4 panels. Am I being scammed or does it really cost this kind of price to fix paint work?
  11. I was about to buy an estate Octavia, but I quite like the look of the hatchback. I looked at the specs and it seems that both cars are almost similar spec wise. I cannot see a drawback for the estate as it has only slightly more fuel consumption but almost the same specs for almost 50l capacity more in the boot. Does it come down just to cosmetic appearance ?
  12. I saw a SE L edition in display today. Apparently if i was to sign the papers I would have been able to get the model shown in the dealership in two days. Another dealer told me they will receive their first ones on Thursday.
  13. Hi just looking to buy the new Octavia
