  1. I had a 2016 Focus and the maps were on an SD card in the middle console, update was about £70 from Ford and £40 ish from ebay for an SD card. I just used google maps

Does your Kodiak have thin wires in the screen similar to Ford? New Karoq does not have the wires running through the screen for defosting

Demisting not an issue with our Karoq MY21 so far anyway but the optional heated windscreen is a joke, though to be fair in the description it does say " a while" Heated screen which Ford have had for years is sooo much better. The heated windscreen makes it much easier to prepare the vehicle for driving in icy weather. Instead of scraping the window, just press a button, wait a while, and remove the melted ice with the wipers.
  4. So smart repair on plastic textured bumper would be effective and not noticeable? Pretty sure that hey will want to repair rather than replace.
  5. Plastic bumper on Karoq is scratched, can catch nail in so too deep to polish out I`ve been told but polishing out would change finish anyway. Can the plastic bumper cover be replaced or refinished/painted. Scratch was missed at PDI but I pointed it out when picking car up, dealer assured me it would easily polish out but having looked at it again it will not polish out. Realise I should have just rejected it or insisted on gtee of repair/replace before accepting car. Waiting for dealer to come back now once he has spoken to his manager, read some where that texture finish can be repaired and painted to match, anyone have experience of plastic bumper repair as suspect they will want to repair rather than replace. TIA
  6. I had mud flaps fitted to Karoq and think it keeps some of the dirt off the doors
  7. That would be interesting, if it is something as simple as dew or rain though I would have thought it would be a common fault especially in UK.
  8. Quite a good you tube channel about car detailing, gives negative as well as positive FB on the products tested. Fine some only praise the products they are being paid to review/advertise? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_4lRohBzY20wjsFGWS0Jzg
  9. I have had that error two or three times now, car is about 6 weeks old - also lazy and have park assist though yet to use it. Can use car again same day and will not show any fault, then will show fault again in a few days. Thought it might be moisture on sensor. Will make a note to see if it is worse after heavy dew or rain.
  10. Built n September this year. I like the body work as well :-) .To be clear I have a 1.5 petrol Karoq, assume that is same gearbox? Spoke to tech/mechanic today and he thought it was ok and I would get used to it & will loosen up a little. With lockdown have done less than 300 miles so hopefully he is right. Longest trip was today at 40 odd miles taking it to the dealers and it did seem a bit better. It still has to improve though or will be chasing dealer.
  11. Is your 3rd gear difficult to select, feels like pushing through 2 "notches" EDIT- just read your other post about gear change, my Karoq is exactly the same. Going to pick up pet protection pack tomorrow- had not been delivered when I picked up the car will ask them to check gear change
  12. Have bitten the bullet and ordered mats and a few other bits and bobs from Superskoda. Thanks all
  13. Thanks I was afraid the more expensive ones might be recommended
  14. Can anyone recommend some rubber floor mats, had a look at the Superskoda mats which are OEM and approx £55 for full set of 4 and , Travall mats look similar and feedback for them is good and only £30 but if Superskoda/OEM are much better would get them. Any thoughts Superskoda http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/KAROQ/Karoq-FRONT-floor-mats-RUBBER-heavy-duty-original-Skoda-Autoas-product-RHD Travall https://www.travall.co.uk/skoda/karoq-2017--/travallr-mats-trm1197r
  15. Mine was delivered to dealership today- had been in UK port since 24/9 due to a "glitch in Skoda system" or maybe backlog in port as yours
  16. From what I have read on here and my order it’s usually about 12 weeks. Maybe ask Skoda chat to check or query with dealer. Seems a long lead time.
  17. Spoke to dealer today and still no sign of car being delivered. Asked him to chase it up as had been in UK port since 24/9. Dealer called back and according to dealer: There had been a glitch in the Skoda system ( not the dealers fault) and my car had not been allocated a delivery date for transport to the dealer. Skoda had now rectified this and my car had been given priority and should, he hoped, be delivered this Monday. Anyway he promised to call me Monday to confirm, or not, delivery and I would pick up later in week. If allowed out of country (Wales) Not best of starts with Skoda
  18. Just spoke to dealer and they hope it will be delivered this week, scheduled delivery is 29/10 so I can`t moan too much
  19. Just checked with Skoda chat and mine is still at a UK port, arrived there 24/9
  20. USB C on rear view mirror is £130 option, don`t know if standard on top of range models - its a extra for the SE-L https://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/en-GB/extras-scenic?activePage=extraequipments&color=0F0F&configurationId=C6U6RDG5&extraEquipments=MEPH7X5|MBWD9T1|GPH5PH5&id=GBR%3Bskoda%3B2021%3BNU74N5%3B0%3BGYOYYOY%3Bmda20200930094719%3Ben-GB%3B%3B62001%3B62151&interior=AD&modifiedPages=&snapshotVersion=a4cfe796-8dd5-4c74-b7bb-dadf0ce2001f&trimline=NU4|SE L6215162001&visitedPages=summary
  21. Just tried it a few seconds ago on iPad and chat came up after a few seconds, chat connection appears just above the arrow pointing up at bottom right of page

  23. From my experience with just the one order, grand total of zero updates. However I found Skoda chat really helpful, I didn't have an order number but gave order details where and what etc and they found my order and gave me updates and the order number.
  24. Following lockdown guess there will be a few battery issues with cars parked up for weeks/months
