Fabia 2014 - door barrel does not lock/unlock
No, parts are really hard to come by, I found just the 1 cylinder barrel on eBay which I bought without a key. I’ve googled and searched everywhere, even aliexpress. I tried superglue and solder to try and attach to the pin, which didn’t work, drilling next to them was my only option.

Fabia 2014 - door barrel does not lock/unlock
The lugs will not flex to release the pin. there are 4 very small pins holding the barrel together, they are steel and the casing is softer material, I tried pry the lug over the pin, and it eventually snapped off. I eventually drilled into the softer casing next to the pin, then prised the case open, once opened the pins can be removed with pliers. I have only opened the part I bought which has no key, I’ve not done my barrel yet, but seems if there isn’t a way of removing the pins I will have to drill, again I will have to wait till my daughter returns from uni

Fabia 2014 - door barrel does not lock/unlock
I’ve bought the one I’ve put pictures of , it’s got no key so will need to dismantle it to get the post out. or if possible the key barrel swap over if it can be removed without cracking the case.

Fabia 2014 - door barrel does not lock/unlock
If I work it out I will explain it. does anybody know if the key housing cylinder can be removed, there is a small hole on the side but can’t see a clip or spring to indicate it can be removed. I’ve seen plenty of strip downs for the MK1 but nothing for the MK2.

Fabia 2014 - door barrel does not lock/unlock
The barrel looks a sealed unit, unlike the the earlier model. I’ve bought this off eBay as it matches the broken one I have, downside is no key, so I will need to break it down to get the pin? or does the cylinder inside come out some how? Is there a release anywhere?

Anyone know where I can get a replacement barrel? Or how to replace the pin that unlocks the door as it’s snapped off Part is labelled 167/168H

Fabia 2014 - door barrel does not lock/unlock
I finally found an answer, this is the facelift model, the top left screw needs to be removed, the top right screw needs to be loosened by a few turns (not removed) , with the key in the lock and turned 90 degrees and the door handle partially open, the barrel should then come out. I will have to wait until my daughter returns from uni with the car to try it. hopefully the pin coming out of the barrel needs replace, otherwise the full door lock needs to be removed.

Fabia 2014 - door barrel does not lock/unlock
I am trying to remove the door barrel for 2014 Fabia mk2 , All the videos I’ve found are for a mk1 my problem is the door lock rotates left and right with the key but doesn’t unlock the door. i am a bit wary as the guides state to only rotate the 2 screws by 3 revolutions. I rotated the one top right by 3 full turns. the one top left by about 4 or 5 full turns. the barrel will not budge, even with door handle pulled out the bottom hole does not have access to a screw. any help appreciated.

VRS TDI 2014 sockets
Hi I'm think of doing an interim oil change on my diesel VRS 2014 estate, can somebody confirm that the oil filter requires a 32mm socket and the sump drain plug is 19mm ? or do I need specific tools? If so can you provide links. Thanks in advance
