Hi - has anyone else with 2.0 Petrol VRS noticed a fair amount of steam from engine bay area escaping via front frill only when raining...I have a video that I wanted to upload but its greater than 10MB! Only happens when raining, all fluid levels fine so assume its the cold water against hot metal components that causing that? For info my "generic" engine cover is no more...

Assume this service is bring car to you and no option for you to come out and fit?

Did that a number of times but no joy... Software update to 1806 has rectified this with added advantage of wireless android auto but knocked headlights over to wrong driving side...an easy fix thru settings

With 1806 s/ware update good news is Android auto now wireless! Bad news ...its messed up the adaptive matrix led headlights which were fantastic before the update 😞

S/Ware now updated to 1806...all is well now and karma has been restored! If only the car was a bit louder...no sound actuator on mine which is Dec 2020 registered... PPFs spoil the recipe

First time this has happened since I bought the car in Dec 2020...been like this all day...Bluetooth for phone only connects and the buttons under the display all work but Menu button non responsive...I have held down the power button for system reboot a few times but no joy... Not sure if this has been posted but I saw this video from Volkswizard on YouTube yesterday - Its a good comparison between the VRS and the Mk8 GTI Being an owner of the Mk4 VRS 245bhp, got to agree with some of his negatives about the car i.e. Infotainment screen not angled towards driver Home and Menu buttons a pain to reach as they are set away from drivers and catered for European models Too quiet for a sports cars even is S mode Changing Drive Select Modes a pain - shortcut button 1st then touchscreen! Other negatives he mentioned was shortcut buttons feeling cheap but I dont agree with that plus steering not the sharpest - again I dont agree with that (after coming out of a Merc E Class!)

Thank You! Did you have to remove wheels to get the mudflaps on & Any extra drilling required? Pretty new to the site after picking up my 1st Skoda in Dec 20...is this site safe? My Laptop flashing up non secure site and not to enter any payment credentials though it could well be my Antiviral app kicking in and being overly cautious

Where did you get the mudflaps from? My dealer is quoting me £160 supply and fit which is way too excessive!

Had s/ware update carried out today so now on v1668; happy to say that the climate control panel no longer opens when selecting heated s/wheel...that was v annoying and glad its gone now! Thanks for sharing @parsey83

Snowfoam, long handled wheel brush and finish off with pressure washer seems to work well on mine

Hi..does anyone know how to disable the Auto On function for heated s/wheel and heated drivers seat...found it a few weeks ago when it was bitterly cold but now want to disable the feature but cant for the life of me find the appropriate menu via the infotainment screen🤔🤔

Thats a strange confiuguration set up for petrol vs diesel...does your model display gearbox oil temp as it does in the petrol model?

On my list as well to do the NC500 in the VRS...I've heard its the equivalent if not better than Route 66

Thats great to hear regarding the update of climate panel opening when pressing the heated s/w button...so annoying - will defo take mine in as Im on software v1666! Im around the 1100k mark now and defo feel engine has loosened up....I use the display setting on the dash to ensure oil has warmed up properly before giving it some Very handy to have that essential data IMO (oil temperature)

Just had a call back from dealer in Coventry confirming that Mk4 VRS TSI 245 does NOT have a sound actuator with or without DCC ...no option can be selected in menu screen plus confirmed that they also tried to activate this by plugging in via OBD & again no option for this. Bit of a shame as Mk3 had it...strange decision by Skoda not to include this for UK VRS

Possibly...will call up dealers tomorrow to see if they can help
