I'm assuming that there not fitted or broken. I never saw that info on the bolero. When put into reverse, just a three second loud beep and the radio went off ! As there is now a graph showing that moves with the steering and also the car moving back I'm assuming that not all is missing. Many thanks, Roy.

Many Thanks. Next task will be to look for the control box that is on the passengers back wheelwell. I assume the wiring loom comes from that or not if there's none fitted. Bumper off at any rate I assume ? Roy.

I have a 2011 mk2 elegance which was bought 3 years ago. Since fitting an upgraded head unit from the bolero I now have DAB, satnav and phone Bluetooth. Before, when putting into reverse, there was a prolonged note. Now it shows up on the head display as a graph road which reacts to the steering wheel. Nothing ever showed up on the bolero. The bumper shows 4 round markers for sensors on the outside. Easiest way of finding out if they are fitted and faulty or do I require to drill and retro fit ?? Thanks in advance, Roy. Just an update. I've found that , ign on , trac control light comes on, and leave for 30secs. Turn the ignition off and then back on. No problem. Starts. I'm sure it's power related.Going to fit a higher rating battery this week. Ps, has anyone had a very expensive clutch pressure plate problem, ie disintegration ! 70000 on the clock? More vag built in bombshells !!! May change brands completely!! Roy.

As this problem started directly after a timing belt change( Also water pump) I have always suspected water to electrics damage but might not be a coincidence ? Why so complicated ! I'm going to change the battery but no fingers crossed ! Roy.

Yes, I think it is.Does that encompass steering brakes etc ? It's a fully up to spec 800bt , fairly comprehensive ! I've since seen a thread on battery state. Will do some voltage checking . I'm thinking of looking for a hillman hunter !! Simple, no mot or tax and can be repaired without computer input. Might start looking ! Roy.

I'm having exactly the same problem. New battery 2 years ago but 3 times it has had to be charged recently after lack of power in the morning. However on these 3 occasions the esc light was not activated and the engine was trying to turn over. Putting a new battery in tomorrow nothing ventured as they say ! Roy.

Permanent DTC. 01314. Seems to happen in the morning mostly. Light with car on top of 2 squiggly lines? Power steering not communicating with the ecu on topdon scanner. Car will turn over but won't start. Clear the fault and all well till next time. Next day or week. No pattern. I'm certain that it all started straight after the timing belt was replaced. Anyone else had this or any idea of probable cause? Thanks Roy.
