  1. On mine the clutch is fine but I have the dual mass flywheel starting to make tractor noises so I have it scheduled to be changed together with the clutch. mine has 160k miles on the clock. Another MK2 I have in Europe with 160k km on the clock needed recently the clutch slave cylinder to be changed due to the pedal not coming back up ( I had to push it from behind with my foot to come back up). None of these sound like your problem but just gave them as my own experience with clutches on these cars until now.
  2. Hi, My pleasure to respond as fast as possible as I know how it feels haviing your car not play ball 🙂 . Fingers crossed you figure it out soon and it will be an easy fix. Best Regards, Misujr
  3. Mine still starts and drives like a charm every single time. The battery was the problem and once I have changed it, all worked perfect. I even have installed some new android radio on it and left it with that in an airport in cold weather for 1 week and the car started from the first turn. Check first a minimum of wiring to make sure you don't have any corroded connectors and/or fuses that are not making good contact and then I think a new battery should be the next logical step. ( Not a mechanic here and certainly not an expert but this is my experience)
  4. Hi, i have done it. i have bought a kit from fleabay with a 11 inch screen, canbus adapter and carplay/android auto. It has internal gps ability/sat nav as it runs android but I enjoy carplay. The kit came with adapter frame and all the wires needed. Also fitting was a matter of 1h of work with the right tools and skills. Only screws and a few plastic pry tools were required so nothing much. All works well and original parking sensors are shown on the new display also.
  5. I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to insert another amplifier. You would need to do a bit of research to see which one would suit best and then how to wire it. I would like to help and point you in a direction but I didn't do this myself on my cars. Technically it is possible and I am sure there are many options on audio forums and you would find something suitable for you. Cheers, Misujr
  6. The only thing you could get worth it out of an android radio with wireless carplay ( mine has it) is a huge sat nav with music streamed from your phone but the audio quality is just as much as your speakers can offer. I have paid the 118gbp just for the huge satnav ( 9 inch screen) and streaming music from my phone but that might not be as appealing to you. In terms of connection between the phone and the radio, it is wireless and seamless in under 40 seconds since I start the car. Hope it helps 🙂
  7. You would want to post in English but using google translate I guess this is what you are saying "The wires are placed correctly and the sound comes all the way to the original Skoda amplifier, but the sound from the amplifier does not reach the car speakers". Yes, if you have an amplifier than it is a bit more complex. There are others that have managed to get the sound working but I can only point you there :
  8. Did you check the wiring for audio ? Most often the android radios have a layout/schematic of the audio port saved in their settings menu. Check that part and make sure you have the wires hoojed correctly. Alternatively, as above asked, give more details, pictures , something that can help us give you pointers or solutions.
  9. Not the most experienced skoda owner here but that sensor as far as I understand is just to toggle recirculation on when needed. My car has it faulty and works a treat AC/Clima wise. I have checked the price for a second hand one and that si about 50-60gbp so as long as the AC?Clima works, I can't be bothered to change it. It has nothing to do with the engine itself so it is used just for cabin air.
  10. Depends what android radio you are buying. I have bought one a month ago from fleabay and for 118gbp it came with canbus box, wiring loom adapter ( all plug and play), aerial adapter , fascia adapter and all else needed. What I don't have is DAB but that generally is added via a USB DAB receiver to these radios. The install is about 10-15 min if you have all the tools that are needed ( torx screwdriver and some plastic levers ).
  11. How did it go for you the battery change? To me it sounds more like you have something that drains you battery. Maybe something new connected to the 12V cigarette lighter that is always on or some other form of 12V consumer.
  12. Hi , This is more of a public annountcement than anything else. I have bought my Octy recently ( 2011 Scout edition) and it was popping up once in a while the error 01314 under multiple areas. On the dashboard there was a message in the lcd :" Error Stabilisation Control (ESC) ". The error is normal as the ABS was could not reach to the ECU and the engine was not starting. ( Crank no start behaviour) This was happeinign randomnly but at leat once in 2 weeks. Trying to access the engine tab in VCDS was resulting in a timeout as the ECU was unreachable. I have changed fuses(good but old ones with better quality news ones), I have measured everything that I could measure in terms of continuity of wires, checked the wiring that gets to the ECU, and all was fine. There was a 100 relay in the engine box compartment that was having heavy oxidation but that has nothing to do with the ECU power . After reading threads in multiple languages on multiple websites I came across a post on thi very forum where a smart user ( can't recall his hadle) mentioned the vechicle battery might need to be changed when too many electrical systems are showing errors. The battery voltage was good but it looked "tired" with corrosion on the terminals and the terminals were a bit uneven( scratch marks and such) . I have bought a new battery and once that was fitted, all worked like a charm. If ever you have such a problem with your Octy, try a new battery if all the rest checks out. It is not cheap but cheaper than a garage for sure. I hope this will help someone else. Cheers, Misujr
  13. Hi @Pattison I know it is a while since you have fixed this, but do you still remeber what was the position/location of that relay you have changed ? I have a similar problem with my Octy ( 2011) where I get 01314 on most of the modules. The car starts sometimes fine and has no error but when it has the problem, it comes up with a message "Error: Stability Control" . Now, I have checked all the fuses and they all look fine to me. But when this problem shows if I try to read with VCDS the ECU I can't reach it. It has to be then something on the ECU power lines and after scrubbing the internet looking for someone with a problem that is as close as possible to mine yours seems to be as close as it gets. I am also sure I didn't see any issues related to the wheel speed senors on my car so it has to be ECU power and as it happens only sometimes, I imagine it's a realy that is on the way out but I can't figure out which relay is that. Warm Regards, Misujr
